It has been a while I gave a full update of what we have going on at the Poker room. We have a total of three weekly tournaments:

Monday 8pm 20,000 colones no rebuy, typically 55 to 60 entrants

Thursday 8pm 10,000 colones with 2 rebuys and one add-on, typically 40 to 50 entrants

Sunday 3pm $55 with one rebuy, typically 25 to 35 entrants note ( the 3pm start is after the first NFL games are over an we have local cable and the NFL package to show any two evening games).

Our cash games start daily between 3:30m and 4:00. We have both a 2-5 No Limit Tabe and a 1-2 No Limit table. The 2-5 game is considered the best daily game in the country.

All tournament days include a free buffet for players. On non tournament days we have a complimentary menu for cash game players who play a minimum of 2 hours.

We have started a progresive bad beat jackpot that begins at $2,000 and is increases daily. On average it ahoud build to around $10,000.

I would like to thank all of CRT members that come by and play and those that refer players to us. I have had little time to post but still try to keep up with the board and members.

What's the lowest losing hand that qualifies as a bad beat? Is losing with a full house a bad beat? Or is it quads?

See you in late Nov, I'm there for a week.

The Lowest losing hand is full house Aces over Kings (AAAKK), both the winning and losing hand must play both hole cards. It is intentionally meant to be tough so that the jackpot gets big and intresting. The losing hand gets 50%, the winning hand 25% and anyone playing in the cash games at the time gets a share of the remaining 25%. It is increasing about $100 a day so far.

Do you have the power to change that to AJ? As always both cards should play but A's full of K's can be tough and take a while. AJ, gives 2 additional hands as help.

Just asking,

Cujo

We chose a difficult level AAAKK to have the jackpot hopefully get very big before it is hit. It will hit about 1 time every four months based on probabailities and the number of hands we hit. The Jackpot would be in the 12k range on average.

I don't remember for sure, but I think it's a standard rake, 10%, $4 max per hand.

Orange nailed it, we have a very standard US based rake. CR typically has the same rake at all the places. The rest of Central America generally has ridiculously high rakes, in some cases with no max.

Maybe you can update us again with the current tourney schedule for this upcoming week. Is the Monday night game still popular? I prefer the no rebuy tournaments.
