I need a straight hotel for a few nights. Has anyone stayed there recently? Also, is there a big difference between the regular rooms and the Jr. suites. From the pictures on their web site it looks like you gain a sofa and that's about it.

Thanks,
Diablito

Diablito,

I was just there this last weekend and booked the room through AA.com so I can get the extra frequent flyer miles with Americans. I reserved a double bed standard room that cost $77.00 plus tax. The room was quite spacious that has a fridge, a working desk, a couch with a coffee table and chairs. It almost feels like a jr. suite. The wi-fi in the room was excellent and fast. Clarion continues to be one of my top choices to stay in San Jose.

Thanks guys, I am going through Nixon but wasn't sure which room to pick. Sounds like the standard room is OK. He wants $75 for the stndard and $95 for a Jr. suite with waiver of chica fees.

I have to entertain some business folks this week or I would be at HLH for sure. In any event, it's only a block away.

Diablito

If you booked thru Nixon, please share his email or phone, or whatever works best. I like the Amon, but lost the info. Thanks.

Contact info for Nixon: Nixon Netto <paradisorooms@hotmail.com>

It takes about 24 hrs for a response. Rooms are $75 standard and $95 Jr. suite with no quest fees.

It breaks down to about $110 a night with taxes for the Jr. Suite and no chica fees. The people there were very friendly and I had no problems when I stayed there last April. Reminiscent of a 3 star Best Western stateside. Quick walk to ZB. Free breakfast is decent.
