A thousand pardons. I did not know it was necessary to acknowledge, by posting in that thread, that I read and accepted the State of the CRT Union message.

You might start a section, similar to a roll call, listing all members who have also failed in their duty to do that. Figuring, conservatively, that would exceed 12,500 names that should fill in the time you have on your hands ignoring and avoiding certain posts.

The horse is actually still very much alive as long as you continue to hypocritically correct and criticize everyone else while completely failing to recognize your own mistakes and self-serving convenient self-contradictions. I find it really amazing to hear a guy who himself has the time to make nearly 7000 posts (more than anyone else on this board and more than double all but only 4 other members) and actually already HAS made it HIS DUTY to list what he feels are the mistakes of all the other members, then go and make fun of someone else for having "too much time on his hands."

I guess there is also nothing wrong with your sarcastic insincere apology to Paco because you added a  at the end of the sentence. No wait, that's right, you could put 100 of those in an attack post and they do not change the intent of the message. Or was that only true last week? Or maybe your "rule" only applies to posts other than your own? You have me so confused.

(BTW, did you notice I did not feel the need to add any emoticons to clarify my intent this time around? That's because my sarcasm towards you is self-evident)

Based on your constant efforts to continue this thread which even you admitted is "a dead horse" would indicate that you either did not read or do not intend to abide by the CRT State of the Union policy.

I have refrained from answering your charges, which are refutable, in the last 2 or 3 of your posts so as not not violate the spirit of that message. I will continue to not be goaded into answering your baseless accusations and I think you might adopt that strategy as well.

The thread is about dental care in San Jose not what you think of me.

Well, back to the original boring subject: (If any one cares)

I was setting here with a set appt for Dr. Chen and planning to go thru with it. After sleeping on it for a couple of nights, I decided I would check out Dra Zomer's references. After all, shes a chica, she sounds cabable and no one has suggested that she may have early signs of Parkinson's Disease. I found her web site with a simple search. Everything looked good, except one major pet peeve of mine. NO price list.

My biggest complaint about CR is tica/gringo pricing. Yes, it bothers me more than the beggars & theives. It just irks me to be treated like a sucker. I know I'm over sensitive about it, but I've learned to look for the early warning signs and if it smells like a rat, and it is easy to move on, I just move on. I go to CR for pleasure, not to be stressed out by some tico's greed, unethical business practices, or just bad manners.

The lack of a price list on this nice web site seemed odd to me, thus the odor of at least a mouse was in the air. Therefore, I moved on to Dr.Munoz, or something like that ( the other recomendation in this thread anyway). I was also able to find his, very nice web site, easily also, Indeed, it included a price list and a basic cleaning was listed at a cost of $40. Even though this is $10 more than Dr. Chen charges, I thought, GREAT! SOLD! I e-mail his office with an appt. request. He promptly writes back with a confirmation and some gerneral info. The general info included a price quote of $100. WTF?

I respond back and ask, Why the difference? I do it in a nice way, of course. I don't receive any response for 24 hours. Now I'm really confused. So I write Dra Susanah Zomer and inquire: How much for a basic teeth cleaning with your office? No sooner than I send that e-mail, my phone rings. The caller says his name is Eddy, and he handles e-mails and appts. for Dr, Munoz. He wants to know if I've accepted the appt. that has been offered to me. I ask, How much? Eddy says. $40. with no X-rays. I say Great, we have an agreement. X-rays don't cost $60. Do they?

I hang up the phone and imediately e-mail Dr. Chen's office and cancel my 1st scheduled appt. I lied to him. I told him that my CR trip had been canceled due to business. I figure this lie is better than revealing my reluctance based on blogging speculation and paranoia. I feel O.K. with it anyway. Dr. Chen wrote me back and politely stated that he would be happy to treat me anytime. Yet, now I'll be rating a different Dentist in a couple of weeks.

Funny thing is, now it has been 48 hours since I e-mailed Dra Susanah Zomer with my inquiry about pricing. I have not received a repy as of yet. Both Dr. Chen & Dr. Munoz were very prompt with their replys. I don't know what it means, but take it for what it is worth.

I'll post a review after treatment.

I would add, that if you are getting work done,be serious about it,the cleaning by dr chen is a little old fashioned, you sit for a while with a mouthshield on and then it's cigar, booze, cunnilingus time with a lot of the guy's..me too, and a lot of the problems are of our own making...the prices i pay were 7000 colones cleaning and 10,000 extraction but i had to haggle with his wife..also i got an upper bridge complete made, 3 day's in the chair for $600....extractions,filing etc.

I have been to a few dentists in the San Jose area. Think I have found the best in Calle Blanco. Anyone interested, give me a PM. SEAHAWK
