El Ciego,

Would be a nice touch to add a vending machine with soft drinks and munchies.

At least if you had your own bottle you could get some mix.

One of the few areas where there is't some sort of corner market to pick this up at.

Can anyone tell me where to get the exit visa in the INS building? Been there many times and asked the currency exchange guys for the exit visa on my last trip and they just looked puzzled? (perhaps because I don't know how to say it in Spanish)

Mr,

You walk in the front door of the INS building, walk 10 yards to the right where you will see the escalators. Take the escalator up to the 2nd floor, walk another 10 yards to the right. You will see a guard standing behind a glass door. This is the bank. The guard will let you in and tell you to take a number and have a seat. They will eventually display your number on the screen, at which time you got to the available teller.

I speak very little Spanish.....so when I go to the bank, I always write down on a piece of paper what I want. For example, with the exit tax:

COSTA RICA SALIDA TAX----$26

They will figure it out and fix you right up.

For an "Exit Visa" the best place I have found is around the block down hill from ZB, in the lobby of (I think it was called) The Clarion Hotel. Very laid back and they only required a copy of my passport and arrival stamp, where the bank wanted the original. There is no extra fee just the $26.

Pura Vida

I always say hello. A friend who has lived in CR for many years always tips everybody between his place and his bar. Not that much, but enough that they might at least call the cops.

How much is the suite (#9)? What are the other rooms going for these days?

HOW friendly, if you know...if not, no problem.
IS there fee for short-term (or overnight) guest? Is more than one chica permitted in the room at the same time -- without fee? Are multiple girls permitted in some rooms and not in others? Reply only, please, if you have stayed there recently and know the answers from your own First-Hand experience.

"you believe"....because you never got up in time for breakfast? hahaha hehehe. seriously, man, if its first-hand experience it's appreciated. y'know how some guys talk out there a**. Know what I'm saying? I've encountered hotels that will let you entertain multiple girls, but only if you rent the suite (or whatever larger higher accomodation they are offering), and limit you to 1 female if you are in 'standard' accomodations. Actually, came across this before in SJ (at the Clarion Amon), which is why I'm asking about the Castille. peace
