I leave Dublin on Saturday arriving CR on Sunday (I am lazy and am overnighting in Miami). Sadly since I am on business I will be staying at the BW Hotel Irazu which I understand is not girl friendly.

See you Thursday if not sooner!

Dave

Hawk you are right the BW is not girl freindly. But they do not mind if you and your girlfreind stay the night for a fee of course. When checking in they will want her name. Don't be imbarressed. say you are dating a few girls on a short list to marriage. And be willing to pay 50.00 a night for each future Mrs They have a nice 24hr outdoor hot tub onsite resturant and a casino. With many back doors and pool entrances to come and go from. Just leave the Patty alone and remeber that it is pu*sy you want. It is a nice place with good secure parking. Just owned by a practicing Catholic. But they go to bed early.

See you at the party, I stayed at the BW when I brought my K*ds one time. Thats how I know this. Also alot of the traveling football teams stay there. Thank God they could tell my girls where under 16 because all the other gals were letting it be known you can have this. I of course got to carry the bags while they got their pictures took. This trip is for me so I am in the gulch and at Zona Blue for three days. Introduce yourself, I am registered in the book of foreign births and have been to see the family in Donegal. Got some true sheep stories to tell too.

Thank you for the data! I thought I would be doing MPs only.

I will arrive there tommorrow barring unforseen travel problems. I am at Dulles airport waiting a flight to Miami.

I look forward to meeting you!

Dave

The Don Gordo birthday bash went off as planned and a good time was had by all. An enthusiastic group of gentlemen met at the Del Rey and then went en masse to Costa del Sol. We drank several large bottles of wine, enjoyed fantastic appetizers and most of us enjoyed the chicken parmesan. All in all, it was a great feast prepared with TLC by the good folks at CDS. A few first timers were there and enjoyed the good natured ball busting that we've come to expect from this event. I don't think I've been insulted that many times in two hours since I was married.

Afterwards, a few of us went to Idem to feast on the very nice looking line up. From there, we went to Key Largo. Don Gordo, shy and retiring as always, wore his "Hoy es mi cumpleanos" t-shirt. At midnight, he took the sweaty thing off and had me wear it. I was honored. :D Many fellow CRTers came by to toast another year and to generally have a good time. We succeded!!

The only downside to the event were the no--call/no shows. A few guys posted on the roll call, but didn't make it, leaving the rest of us to pay the bill for the expected larger crowd. Even though it cost us a bit more, those who did show were an enthusiastic crowd and demonstrated why CRT and its members are a wonderful thing. :D

Ciaociao

Ditto to what CiaoCiao said. It was a great time, with a total of 17 people showing up. As usual - the appetizer platters, the wine, the food and the company were 1st rate! Whoever committed and didn't show, they missed a great night, as I concur with everything CiaoCiao said.

And as far as the line-up at Idem ??? All I can say is........ DAMN !!!! IMO, there was some of the nicest talent that I've seen in there in a long time! And I think CRT member NYG will agree, as he gave one of the chica's the best 19 minutes of her life!!!!! :P :P Roberto was (as always) a great host, and took care of all of us.

And then the brief stop into Pucho's afterwards???  PRICELESS !!!!

Feliz Cumpleaños (again) to DonGordo & CiaoCiao.

MG

I want to thank everyone who joined us at the 6th Annual Dongordo Birthday Bash.Although there were 27 who signed up, only 17 actually showed up and had a wonderful time. The staff at Costa del Sol outdid themselves this year with a grand array of appetizers ranging from simple focaccia to an elaborate array of mushrooms, onions, grilled zucchini and more that I cannot remember.
I made some of my special jello shots with 8 year old rum and one of our members brought a bottle of 12 year old Redbreast Irish whisky, which we all eagerly shared.I never would have guessed that there would be so many whisky drinkers in the group.
The chicken Parmesan was great as usual as well as the other entrees that were ordered.
We finished off the evening with a trip to Idem and some of our group even ventured to Pucho`s on the way back(check the photo in the VIP gallery). It was quite a sight. later it was Key Largo to usher in CiaoCiao`s birthday at midnight.

I look forward to next years Bash and I hope that many of you will join us in what has become a fun tradition.

Dongordo:

It sounds like a great tradition that keeps getting better and better. I missed it this year, but will try to change that for 2009, especially since we share the same b-day. Happy belated birthday wishes. I guess your wishes always come true in CR.
