Hey guys I need a nice clean hotel room by august 11 as castillo won't have room for me past then ! If anyone knows a cheap place not over $50 per night and must have private bath with shower okay!
And hopefully not too far away from barrio ammon disctrict as I NEDD MY SPORTSMAN FIX every other day !LOL
I prefer a place that allows the girls in okay!
If anyone knows someplace either email me on msn or call the castillo and ask for Ted farr.
And I will need this until august 23 .
Thanks guys and my email is firmbear8@msn.com

try hotel Morazon or hotel Freebird both are under $50. La Amistad (about $65 to $69 before the CRT discount)is a bit more but only a block from Sportsman

Hey Bear...

Costa Rica Casino Hotel Morazan is on the same avenue (#1) as the del Rey and 1/2 block west, same side of the avenue.

Hotel Freebird is a couple blocks south of the Presidente...and one more block farther south from the HDR. Both are separated from the Barrio Amon district (Castillo, Sportsmen's, Amistad) by Parque Morazan and Parque Hispana.

Have you tried Hotel Amistad? Nice hotel, chica friendly, new beds, clean and serves a great complimentary breakfast to guests. They are a C.R.T. V.I.P. sponsor too, so if you're a VIP, you can save some cash.

Another option might be Hostal Maruecos. It's a block or less from Zona Blue, near Harry Hart's Poas Bar and other attractions. About a $1.50 taxi ride from the SL.

Above your price point but not by much is the downtown Hotel Europa (not to be confused with the Radisson property of the same name near the airport).

Finally a long shot... SL might have one of the courtyard section rooms available. A bit above the fifty dollar (U.S.) price point, but not by too much.

Hope this helps. Now, get your maple-leaf festooned arse down to C.R.! :D

There's a coupon in the Tico Times that gives a massive discount at the Morazan. Clip and save.

the last few times i stay at Morazan i told them i stay there all the time and didn't feel like buying the news paper. they gave my the discount anyway. Morazan and Freebird is like a 10 min walk to Sportsman or $2.00 taxi. i like Amistard a lot. with the CRT discount is a really good deal.

So you want dirt-cheap and nice (w/ private bathroom)? I don't believe that's possible.

IMO, if you can't spend more than $50/night for a room, maybe it's not the greatest idea for you to go to Costa Rica.

They discontinued printing the coupon and honoring that rate sometime ago. However they only raised the rate to $45.00 and added complementary breakfast.

Don't leave out Hemmingway Inn....it's right next door to Castillo and cost effective......nice staff.....no "walk of shame"......work out the chica fee details with manager JOSH.....

You stay "low key"....you'll get taken care of at Hemmingway.....

Castillo itself is nice and pretty cheap. Join up and get a VIP card. I am staying in a delux room, and with my VIP card, staying for more than 7 nights, and paying in cash, my room will be $50 a night con taxes.
