I thought I would add a point of clarification. Even though it is a tournament series with points accumulating to free entries in the big finale tournament, the weekly events still pay out a minimum of 90% of monies collected.

This makes it a good tournament for someone who only plays that particular night, but still adds potential benefit for the players who play weekly.

I hope to see you Thursdau,

BKTUNA

Thursday tournament results:

Even with the worst rain any of the locals can remember we had 23 entires and 58 total buyins counting rebuys. The prize pool was $5,400

with Arkansas Terry taking $2,000 for first

CRTer Elway was third for $800 and Ted99 was 6th for $400. We expect this tourney to grow to a 40 person event over the next few weeks with first going up to 3-4k.

I hope to see you next week. 7:30pm Thursdays at the Clarion Amon Plaza Casino

I am very excited to have Phil and his team join us at the Clarion Amon Plaza poker room. We currently have a very good 2-5 NL game and they will give us the critical mass to have a daily 1-2 NL game as well. We also are adding a Monday tournament at 8pm for 20,000 colones (about $38) and next Saturday we will add the $100 buyin tournament that Phil was running at the Horseshoe at 6pm. We now have full free buffets Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (afternoon) and Monday.

The Sunday tournament is now the longest running weekly tournament in Costa Rica at over 75 weeks and counting. Even if you are not a poker player, feel free to stop by and say hello and have a beer on me.

We had a great start to our new realtionship with Phil and his group (former owner of the Horshoe poker room).

The Sunday tourney drew 43 total buyins with a record $900 for first. We also had full tables of 1/2 NL and 2/5 NL for the entire day and evening.

This addition allows us to offer a wider range of limits for our players and have more action on a daily basis.

I also want to thank all the CRT brothers who stop by to play or just to say hello.

Reminder $20,000 colone $39 tourney with buffet tonight at 8pm.

Our new Monday night tourney was a big hit with 27 participants and two cash game tables going into the night.

We had a mix of local Ticos who formerly played at the Radisson and local Gringos and a few CRTers mixed in. It is a low buyin 20,000 colones ($37) and we provide a buffet at the break.

It is now a weekly scheduled event and we anticipate it growing to 40-50 participants within a few weeks based on the feedback from the locals. It starts at 8pm every Monday night.

Saturday 6pm $100 buyin - no rebuys buffet at break
Monday 8pm $20,000 colones ($37) - no rebuys - buffet at break
Sunday 2pm $55 buyin with 1 rebuy ($55) buffet at break

We have cash games starting from 3pm daily with both 1/2 and 2/5 blind structures.

Stay tuned for new tournament offerings.

I'm interested in some poker while I'm in Costa Rica for the next few weeks.

Can anyone give me directions (that I can give to the taxi driver) to the casino?

Thanks

Our addition of Phil and the 1/2 game has added a lot to our volume of players. We are getting two tables of cash game play almost every day and at least one table daily. Our new tourney schedule is as follows:

Sunday 2pm $55 with one rebuy
Monday 8pm 20,000 colones
Thursday 8pm 10,000 colones max 2 rebuys and one add-on
Friday 8pm 15,000 colones max 2 rebuys and one add-on

As always we provide a full buffet at the break and free drinks for players.
Our Monday tourney drew 46 entrants which is a new record for us.

The cash game opens at 3pm daily with the game usually starting between 3:30 and 4:00. We offer 1-2 and 2-5 No Limit daily. Our 2-5 game is considered the best daily action game in the country.

I would like to once again thank all of you that come out and play for your support. We intend to be the best place to play poker in Central America.

Our Sunday tournament is moving from 2pm local start to 3pm local start to accomodate football fans. We do have the NFL package but currently only one receiver.

The first games 1pm EST are over by 2:15 or so locally.

OUr Moday tournament is drawing over 70 players weekly. It is a 20,000 colones ($37) buy in at 8pm

Thursdays is 10,000 colones with 2 rebuys and an add-on.

We have a daily 2-5 and 1-2 NL cash games that start around 3;30 and go all night.
