It's a very nice hotel. I was there last month. American airlines stranded about a hundred of us for 3 days and payed for us to stay there. I didn't bring any chicas- however it would be very easy. When you arrive, just go directly to the elevators. The front desk is far enough away where you can slide off to your left and head toward the elevators.

The place is probably one of the nicer hotels and far enough away from Del Rey that it is rare that they see a lot of chicas. I didn't see any at the bar area for the days I spent there. You will have to go and bring them back. The key would be to act as it was normal. I would also advise to get a room on one of the higher floors. They hosted an event when I was there and it was kind of loud at night.

No. I wish there was. It's sort of a high end place. They would probably boot them

The restaurant "Fuji" within the hotel is very good. Has phenomenal sushi and hibachi. Just don't expect the service to be any good, as it is pretty lousy... Expect to be there about three hours for your complete meal.

A little trivia for everyone, but the Corobisi actually used to be a Playboy Hotel (as in Hefner Playboy), with all the waitresses dressed in bunny suits and stuff... That must have been a sight to see. Damn, I was born in the wrong decade...

I agree..Corobici's is a class hotel and chica friendly.A nice lounge and it's the only place I like to gamble.Fuji's is an excellent oriental restaurant and I've heard the rooms are nice.Seperate entrance on the side for the lounge and casino part of the hotel.Big lobby would make it very easy to bring in your chica.

Pilots from Taca used to stay there, and they didn't have any problems taking girls to the rooms.

Some additional trivia about the Playboy Hotel (Coribici) that strange looking structure on the very top was built as Hugh Hefner's apartment for when he was in town.

Do not be to sad Ruff. While I was never in the Playboy club in San Jose I was in them in New York, Chicago and Miami. Beautiful girls in their bunny suits. Ogling allowed  but no touching

About 5 years ago , I was shopping for a condo--apt , and found this apt advertised for sale :o
So I called and talked to the owner--- who wanted $750,000.00 USD

A bit high for me , told him I would have to sell my other house first.

Cygnus

YO Bunny Tails:

If I remember correctly that hotel was not really sanctioned with Playboy clubs. The last club in the states (Lansing) closed in 1988 and the international last one (Manilla) closed in 1991 I think. I believe the Corobici was built in 1990-91.

YO ID: You are basically right about the no touching rule but as a former card carrying member circa 1964 to 1981, there was an underground network that set up meeting bunnies for dates, etc. but if an active employee was exposed....they were fired immediately. Fortunately, I had befriended a well known "Sicilian businessman" who let me partake in this elite club of bunnies a few times. Nuff said.

Originally, it was sort of a status symbol among gents and a fun way to take clients out for a short evening. One thing that differed in these clubs from others was that you paid the same price for everything, drink, lunch, etc. (no, not the girls). The same price deal was later changed. The clubs in general lost money but the clubs with casinos kept the organization afloat. Geezzzz, thanks for the memories.

This hotel now called the Crown Plaza Corobici has the penthouse listed at $1.9 Million. Nice 30-picture slide show on TheDude's link (nighttime /daytime views of SJ and interiors). Something disconcerting about taking a dump while looking through full-plate-glass at the whole city though.

I also saw a listing for the Penthouse...at $2.2MM. Typical of CR to have multiple listings of the same property at various prices. LOL.
