This belongs in the talk smack section....This type of post, in truth, is getting older then the CR sucks posts...With all due respect...

Why I say it is best for the other section, is that there has been constant ribbing some of the members when they critque CR..its just getting old...Read back in the old trip reports, many have crituqued CR once they have found other places, and are not been slayed for it...

Certainly an appropriate topic for discussion under "general information". The overall flavor of CR as it stands today as evidenced by various opinions has nothing to do with "smack talk". Why folks can't just pass over a thread or discussion if they don't care for the topic I have never figured out.

As for does it suck... only in the sense that the newness has long worn off. For any newbie... it's bigtime candyland.

I don't think that Costa Rica "sucks" per se. I am not of that opinion. Remembering back 5 years to some of my earlier trips....there were good times as well as bad times; same as there has been in recent trips. Nothing has really changed, the people are really the same. There will always be different people with different attitudes and different personalities. I'm sure that for me, some of the "novelty" of Costa Rica has worn off, and I'm prabably a little smarter about the scene than I was 5 years ago......which comes in handy. I have a better feel now for what I like and what I don't like about the scene in Costa Rica.

After 30 days in Costa Rica, I'm always ready to come home...but after 5 months at home, I'm ready to go back to Costa Rica. It makes for a nice balance.

Whereever i go i have a great time, and am of the opinion that with the right attitude you can have the time of your life in any monger destination.Life is short and i'm not going to waste my time complaining(what's not to like).My next 2 months has me in Costa Rica,TJ,Mde(twice),and Monterrey and i'll have a blast in all these places.I'm an optimistic person by nature and when i read guys that are negative by nature i thank my lucky stars i'm not! And no Costa Rica does not suck!Pura Vida!

With all these CR bashing threads lately, this is one of the most simplistic and accurate posts I've seen so far.

All things are possible with the right attitude, and finding the right match for whatever are your desires.

Having spent a day, and night with DrForm in TJ, I can tell you that I had a blast with him. A good man, with a positive attitude. We will create more fun and memories next week in CR.

This will only be my sixth trip to CR and I am looking as forward to this one as I did my first one. They just keep getting better. I also look forward to the possibilities of Colombia & Peru next year. No matter how good a time I may have in either country, I seriously doubt that I will think that CR, TJ, or any place that I choose will suck. I refuse to let that happen. Let the party begin with me.

I've been exchanging stories of CR to an experienced traveler, especially to that island just south of Key West, and he is dying to go down on my next trip... Believe me, thinking that CR never entered those conversations...
For a newbie, it's still like starring in your own porn film... And for the more experienced, the newness may be wearing off, but having access to 24/7 Latina poosie never gets old... Like MG says "Bring the party with you" ...

Another thread like this. Ok, I guess it gives me a chance to share a different opinion.

I think again it comes down to your reasons for going to CR. I see nothing wrong with going to CR with the exclissive intent of bangging all the chicas you can.

I go there for the hang out with the fellas and most importantly to get away from work. The chicas are just icing on the cake for me really. I mean there are chicks everywhere, it just so happens at the HDR those girls are all down to phuck. I'm just glad this upcoming 2 week trip that I leave behind my responsibilities, get to smoke and joke with some great friends and not worry about the good ole U.S.A.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as perverted and crazy as the next guy. But I'm almost positive 2 or maybe 3 nights of that upcoming trip I wont get laid by choice. So when in the mood, the DR usually provides what I'm looking for. Even the day shift surprised me a few times. Point is, it depends on your expectations.

For example I've never been to Rio but I conceede that place would be my paradise. When I go I'm sure I'll be trying to mow down as many garotas as possible.

In the meantime I'll maitain the same 3 or 4 booty calls I have here in my hometown awaiting the LD weekend. CR provides me with worry free thoughts, good laughs, and more and more chicas willing to let me stretch thier ballon knot

COSTA RICA SUCKS BIG TIME

Let me count the ways:

OH, Hell! forget it NO, Wait, just remembered-
The chicas SUCK my 'lil buddy' muy bien

The only things that suck are NOT Costa Rica's fault; they are:

1: I am 66 yo and physically cannot pluck 5 times per day

1A: I am living on SS and cannot afford to pluck 5 times per day (this sounds better than #1)

2:There is not enough time to pluck every chica that I see that turns me on--my 'to do' list gets longer everyday.

3:I really worry about what it would (will) be like to be living here and not being able to pluck anymore.

4: I worry about dying before I pluck all the chicas (only sexi good looking ones, of course).

5: Damn COSTA RICA SUCKS----If it were not for Costa Rica, I would not have the above problems

I would be living a nice , quite , dull , boring , sad , life in the states plucking fewer gringas in a year than the # of beautiful , sexi , fun LATINAS I pluck in a month here.

If I lived in FL or TX, CR would still be an option. It is easier and faster to get to Asia from San Francisco and once in Asia the price tag on everything is less and the service is basically off the chart so CR is an impossible choice for me.

GR's story is my perception of CR... it wasn't that BBBJ wasn't available, but they just wouldn't budge if he didn't pay more for it and that, in my opinion, is because they know whimpy gringa trained gringos will take the hardcore attitude.


I really don't want to have to play games to get good service. I don't want to have to be a regular in CR to get good service. I want to pay the going rate just like I do at any hotel or restaurant and get what I deserve for that rate. I don't want to have to get on my knees and beg for good service. After I've paid what she asked I should be able to assume good service, but we all know that doesn't happen in CR as often as it should.
