Hola CRT!
Sometime in the next 24 hours there may or may not be a short downtime on the forum, should be less than 10 minutes.

We are searching a new Spammer Modification to rid the board of Robot Spammers and posts that have been finding their way into our community.

This is supposed to work and I'm out sourcing the project so its just a matter of implentation, they tell me it should not effect the board functionality.

Stay Tuned, and if we are down it will be only for a few minutes.

Spam Modification is now complete.....

What they are telling me is that We no longer will be bothered by Spam, Robots, posting thier porn sites, pharmacy, info etc.

Of course this does nothing to stop Human Spammers, but those are easy enough to deal with.. it has been the Robots that have been driving me crazy for a long time...

Let us all hope this works!

48 Hours without a spam bot, spam post and porn intrusion, is it possible I might be able relax now?

I might also add that forum registration #'s have dropped which indicates the Total # of board members is most likely way off as many were with spam memerships to have their URL's indexed.

I'm speaking with the Outsource programmers who are very good but a bit pricery about running a script to remove "Inactive members" members who have never activated their memberships this does effect members who have never posted... I am almost afraid to think of how many members might not exist.. :lol: :lol: Personally I would rather have an accurate count... But for now I'm happy that no "ROBOT" spam has showed up...

Again the occasion A-Hole will show up and post some spam, but I can deal with those on a one on one Basis!
