Anyone else have issues with this? I always bring a couple of small bottles of baby oil for massages along with a small bottle of Astroglide on each trip. And it doesn't seem to matter how many plastic bags or what kind of container I put the stuff in (I've tried those small metal "travel" containers also) - the stuff always leaks and gets all over the place when I fly. And this time some of my favorite t-shirts fell victim - I'm hoping I can somehow remove the stains with baby powder or some other remedy.

Anyways - that's it - from now on the chicas supply their own oil and/or lubricant. Or maybe at least with the lubricant part, it happens naturally a little more often (yeah, sure...) 8)

I always tape the top of the small bottle of astroglide with scotch tape, then place it into a small plastic sandwich baggie, nunca hay problemas.

I always tighten the lids on all toiletries, lubes, etc., tape them shut with masking tape, then place them all in a 14" X 10" RUBBERMAID container which I place in my checked bag. Never had a problem.

CVS sells it's brand of lube jelly (similar to KY) in "personal gel packets" a box of 10 is about 3 bucks and they're just a bit bigger than a condom, handy for carrying around to the MP's, or hotel Asia.

i tend to roll with a multi compartment duffle type bag. it has different compartments so all the stuff that might leak is confined to one area on the top of the bag. so far so good. they go for like $30 at costco and mine has made ten trips with no sign of breaking down.

Ditto. Astroglide is one of the worst for leaks. I also put part of a paper towel around the top with a rubber band to hold it on just in case.

Its quite simple really. Haven't you ever noticed that your feet swell and your ears clog when you fly on a jet? There is a reason for that. Air pressure inside the passenger cabin may not get as low as the ambient pressure of the air outside but it does get lowered considerably to as low as the equivalent of atmospheric pressure at 8000 ft. This balances the needs for maintaining hull integrity and passenger safety and comfort.

If you don't believe this try securely closing an empty plastic water bottle while you're cruising to CR at altitude and check out that same bottle after you land. Barring any major leaks it should be noticibly compressed or even crushed. The opposite happens when you take a container tightly sealed at ground level up to high altitude. As the air pressure outside the container drops, the original pressure inside the container becomes relatively greater. The container swells and its contents literally get sucked out through any tiny crevices in the cap seal (it is virtually impossible to really and completely hermetically seal a removable bottle cap).

So what can you do about this? It might help to a) not start out with a completely full container and b) squeeze as much of the excess air out of the container as possible. This allows room for expansion when the cabin pressure drops. That said, I'd still double baggy any spillable liquid that I might have packed away, just to be completely safe.

I take the top of of my liquids (lube, massage oil, contact lense solution, etc) and put either a large piece of plastic wrap or a plastic sandwich bag on the opening. I then screw the cap back on. Then I put the bottle in a ziplock bag. Haven't had any problems yet (knock on wood) and I have been doing it this way since I first started wearing contacts 16 or 17 years ago.

Uhh... You can buy all of your favorite lubes here in costa rica, why bother taking them on the flight?

Lubes are only part of the problem....There's shampoo, after shave, shave cream, liquid stomach medicines, etc.

Yeah, right. Tell me the location of a shop that sells Sex Grease or Maximus or Wet Platinum or Probe. Every locale I have tried had whatever "line" they were pushing and nothing else. Think low end Adam and Eve type crap.

I packaged the bottles as described with masking tape under the lids and around the caps, then vac sealed them (but not at high pressure). Even if they leak (none yet) it is contained in the sealed bag.

Location: Referred to the OIG by Mucho Gusto after mysterious fire at his gay night club.
Found individual packets of lube when I was stocking up at Condom Depot.

Here is the link for all the brands they carry.

My recent trips have been Friday at 3PM, Saturday, then back to FLL Sunday at 9:55Pm. Very low bagage footprint. Buy what I really need there.

I like to "hit the ground running," so I need these things upon arrival....the lubes, condoms, shaving and bathing needs, etc., so I NEED to bring them with me. In fact, a favorite chica is usually at the hotel within one hour of my arrival.
