Is there a hotel within reasonable distance of the gulch that has a
pool and no chica fees? I usually stay at the usual monger places but would like to upgrade a little. Tried the search function but got a buncha hits
that didn't answer the basic question. Thanks.

Hotel Europa but unless you normally stay at the Nueva Johnson not sure it qualifies as an "upgrade"

The only hotel in the gulch with a pool, that I am aware of, is the HOTEL SANTO THOMAS.....across the street and about 100 yards from Musas Massage. Unfortunately, this hotel IS NOT chica friendly. :( The upside is that there are 3 or 4 massage parlors fairly close by. :D

He does not need to bring K*ds some people like to swim and soak the sun between sessions.

There were many people in MDE soaking in the Mansions little pool.
Some people like pools

When I think of pool I think of pool parties  8)

I think it would be a blast to have pools in hotels. Chicas running around in bikinis that you know you can Phuck all over the place. Kind of like how they have it in the P.I.

How about the 5 yr anniversary consisting of a daytime pool party/ BBQ comeplete with chicas, wet t-shirt contest etc.. then cocktails and more fun at night. Oh yea, I can definately see huge benefits if Bill was able to throw a pool at the SL....

LMAO. How ridiculous. Do you guys think you are comming to the Playboy Mansion?

Be realistic, this concept never took-off in San Jose. I guess you guys were not around during the days of the "Green Door".

I was around during the days of the Green/Blue Door.

I love to hang out around a pool, and maybe have a chica hang out with me between trips to the sheets. I had a great time with a 25 year old sweetie from the east coast of CR while I was there. We did our thing, went out and swam nude in the pool and hung out in the jacuzzi, then went back in and did our thing again.

Jacuzzis are also neat to have, most Ticas and Nicas I have been with actually love hanging out in them. One night at the Pres, myself and two other buddies played 'pass the chica' with three hotties, and when is all said and done (if and when I get out of the hobby) it may have been one of my very best times.

dildoman, I find your post ridiculous, as if you know all about the hobby. You don't know what make each person tick. Your little snide remark about the Playboy mansion and your LMAO comment was unnecessary.

To the original poster, I hope you find a place with a pool. If a person doesn't want to do some tourist things, then it is very relaxing to hang out at the pool. There is only so much you can do in town, outside of chasing chicas and gambling.

To those who never made the Green/Blue door, you missed a treat. It was supposedly closed down due to having underaged chicas working there, but the one time I was there, none looked under about 21. I had read where politics were involved in shutting the place down.

No hotel with a pool worthy of being called an "upgrage" exists anywhere near the Gultch.

Problem is, for half the year, most ticas would find an unheated pool intolerable. These girls start freezing at 69 degrees.

OTOH, Stoner... if you find a cutie that you would entertain for an overnight, think about any of the thermal baths. Tabacan is one, but I know there are others. Or take her to the beach.

Yes, the Europa downtown has a pool...which gets sun for about an hour each day. Otherwise, the unheated pool is in the shadow of other buildings. Also it is quite small.

While I disagree with Dildoman's tone, he has a point. If pools were going to be a draw in San Jose, at 3780 feet above sea level.... pools would be featured in more hotels.

I stayed at the Villa Tournon on my first trip to CR. It is located a little east of Calle Central, north of the river - near El Pueblo. It was a clean and decent place for about $70 per night. There is an attached restaurant and casino. I brought a chica back my first night and paid no fee (no fee that I recall; I was pretty liquored-up.) The pool was rather small but also very clean and nearly completely unused.

I have read other posts saying that the hotel is not chica friendly, so if you do make reservations there, be sure to ask them about their guest policy.

As El C says, most pools in Costa Rica are not heated. You might find a heated pool at an upscale place like The Intercontinental, but I doubt they're chica friendly.

I seem to recall that the Hotel M had a pool, but maybe it was just a hot tub.. i don't recall for sure.

A few years back a few guys used to stay at Aparthotel LaSabana which had a nice pool and liberal guest policy. Nice pool...but not heated. Before I moved to CR I stayed there and also El Sesteo Aparthotel with a very nice pool. They changed ownership at Sesteo and last I heard were not allowing guests, but LaSabana might still be a nice gem for you. Check out the links below. Both are only 5-10 minutes by taxi to the gulch...and maybe a more secure area to stay in as well. Dont know...its been a while.

PS. If you dont need to "toda la noche" with these chicas...you can just use the hourly hotels in the downtown area and not risk these chicas in your room. Then just enjoy the pool and privacy by day at these nice aparthotels.

Casa Conde has a pool and the suites are nice, a little small but nice. Not too far from the gulch. More of a family place.
