Does anyone know how to go there ? :?

I've got the address : Calle blanco, 125 m norte del antiguo Mercedes Benz

I don't know where is the "antiguo Mercedes Benz", but I know where is the "new" Mercedez Benz in La Uruca......

Can someone explain me exactly how to go to this motel ? :P

Xeno,

Every taxi in San Jose should know where the Eden is.

It's kind of tricky to get there is you ddon't know your way around.

There are 2 entrances. one on the back and the other one along the free way Limon to San Jose.

When in need to go there. give me a call or PM. Drop and Pick up available

Mente

get back on the highway back to SJ.
get off at the Eden hotel exit...

These directions make it sound like it's way out of town but it's not.
Motel Eden is just a little NW of the Gulch behind the University. Probably a 5 minute taxi ride.

Guess it depends on your definition of "town"...

I would say it's still VERY MUCH in the town... It's REALLY... About a 20 min walk from ZB... IF that, but I wouldn't walk it... If the cab takes more than 5 min, and you're NOT in stop and go traffic, he's taking you for a ride...

Why would you want the phone number?

THey don't take reservations. It's first come, first serve. They won't tell you if they have any open rooms either, since the place is spread out and they really wouldn't know.

I can't think of any reason to call them that would not be a frustrating exercise in pointlessness.

Isn't there an extra 2 now in front? Like, 2233-0460?

Hey guys, I have a couple questions regarding love motels in SJ.

First of all, someone mentioned in another thread somewhere that besides Motel Eden, there are a number of other love motels in the same barrio (b. San Francisco?) Any names/directions?

2. How relatively safe/dangerous is the neighborhood? Isn't this the same barrio where Hypermas is located? Just trying to get my geography straight.

The barrio is not the safest in SJ... I would not go walking around it if I didn't know my way around...

Having said that, I've found many a small hang out there that I have enjoyed over the last 8 months...

I've HONESTLY never looked for another love motel... I've been to a couple of others in SJ, mostly near the Guacamaya, or near San Pedro, and none of them are as nice as Eden, so I stopped trying...
