Fear need not be your enemy, unless you choose to dwell in it.

Turn the adrenaline charge of the fear into a positive power. The results will be amazing.

health & happiness...

A little angelology and Catholicism for y'all. I am not a practicing Catholic, although that's how I was raised. Still, I believe in guardian angels.

Rafael the Archangel is the patron saint of: The blind, lovers, the insane and travelers. I figure I'm covered.

Seriously, I think that the Divine...or the Universe...or...(?) protects some of us. I have gotten lost in the Combat Zone in Boston and had three vicious thugs guide me to the subway rather than rob me. I've waited for a bus at midnight in the middle of Minneapolis' worst crack ghetto. I have either been protected, or very lucky, or both.

No, I don't substitute blind faith in Raphael or dumb luck for awareness, preparedness and common sense.

I will not live in fear.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil...

EL C,

You bring up a good point - our judeo-christian roots. As Americans, we have been brought up in a puricanical society where sex is still considered taboo unless you are married by the church. I can't believe it when I hear about highschool couples swearing celebacy on TV. All I could think about was banging poontang back then. I was a walking hard-on. I could smell pu*sy in the hallways of my highschol and it drove me crazy. Now how can K*ds these days be persuaded against all that is natural and normal. Answer - Our culture is largely inherited from puritanical sects that migrated from England. Look at how wild and crazy those pilgrims were!!! We still have a lot of that in our society.

Latinos were fortunate enough to inherit most from Spain where the rules and taboos were a bit relaxed. Although still very catholic, not quite as puritan. Anyone been to Spain lately? It could be one of the most chill countries in the world. The ticos have inherited A LOT from spain. Sex is not taboo and the relaxed party lifestyle is normal. The spanish were not sent to LA to create puritanical colonies, but to make money. Ofcourse, they became rich and had their way with the women. Look at how white some Ticas are? I think they were especially fond of Colombianas. Many of them are more white than the skin on my bumb - which has never seen sun in 38 years.

I have spent a lot of time in Europe and at one point was dating a French chick. She was super liberal and really opened my eyes. One time she asked me - "Don't Americans every phuck, just for the sake of wanting to phuck?" I was blown away. Her next response was "why do Americans always need a reason to have sex?" FYI... I was blasting this girl sin condom from day 1 and on the first date. She showed absolutely no fear or shame in it. To her, it was a normal dating relationship. We go out. We talk, eat and drink (well she also smoked like a damn factory) and then we come home and phuck like wild animals until the morning. How many woman can you find like that on American soil?

Finally, my mother who I consider to be a puritan, used to call phuckin- fornication. When I was 16, I remember sneaking my steadies up to my bedroom, locking the door, blasting music and banging the crap out of them. This really freaked my mom out. At one point, I thought she was going to burn me at the stake. She even went so far as scolding us together (with clothes on)... asking me why i was fornicating with this whore.... right in front of her face. And, asking her why she was such a whore... right to her face. Its was so embarassing and humilating.... but that is what she wanted. How ridiculous????!!!!!!

Wow Chi! Major hijack!

I don't know whose agenda is being served by the desexualization of America. Puritans, yes. But who else benefits?

Strip clubs, ubiquitous pornography, sex toys,....whatever, all begin to serve as substitutes for real sex. Feminism, economic necessity (working woman) and puritanical hangups conspire to neuter us. All combine to put us under a perpetual cold shower.

Then, prescribe more psychotropic drugs to the population than any other country in the world....tranquilizers, antidepressants etc.)

Frightening thought: How many men in the U.S. take ED drugs to enhance masturbation when their partner suddenly turns off her sex?

And so we begin to take immense risks to do what our nature requires us to do. We fly sometimes thousands of miles to economically disadvantaged zones, walk through polluted cities each of us possibly carrying more cash than a local earns in two days of hard work.

We dive face first into danger zones, risk our emotional well-being, risk insect infestation, risk denge, risk STI's, risk our money at the toot and rummy tables, risk breaking an ankle on a bad sidewalk, risk missing our flight, risk theft, risk our livers with booze and boner pills, risk food poisoning...

shit, might as well just stay home and jerk off.

It's a lot safer.
