I learned about CRT from sfredbook.com...I was happily mongering in the SF Bay area, but wanted to expand my horizons, began learning espanol, have gone to several spanish schools as the "excuse" to visit foreign lands, and the rest they say is history. Or is it herstory?

I then learned of ISG, WSG, Club Hombre, TSMTravel, ISOC, PeruTops and a host of other sites from the deplorable set of reprobates that reside here at CRT. No seriously, you guys are bros!

I first found out about CRT from a person flying back from CR to Ft. Lauderdale on Spirit airlines. It was the first and only time I flew Spirit. The line at customs was brutal that day and me and this guy started talking and he was telling me about the poker game at the Clarion, the SL, CRT ect... Until that point I was strictly an HDR guy.

From a friend who has been going to CR for 12 + years.

Staying at the Del ray on a business trip and was talking to a guy at the next table and he asked me if I was CRT? He gave me the web site and I read everything on the board over the next week.

Turns out it was Psychman who I did not see again for over a year.

Wow..I feel so old. It has been a long time and a good ride. I guess there's not that many of us left as I was one of the original posters from the Costaricasex.com (CRS) site. For awhile I had the distinction of being the #1 poster and Mr. EASY was the #2 poster. After the demised of CRS I decided to migrate with the rest of the friends I made there to CRT and also just to give Admin 1, 2, and 3 a hard time here. Oh...btw...where is CR again? I can't find it on the map.

during the march madness 06. I had been to CR twice before and was making it up as I went along. this trip I was chatting up BBall with a wolfpack fan who told me about the site and the SL. now each trip just gets better

I read and posted on WSG, Club Hombre, and ofcourse the old CRS site for several years. Then I spent 3+ years going to Colombia. In early 2005 while getting ready for a return trip and move here, I tried to go to the old CRS site and found it was gone. Went to WSG and found a reference to CRT and the rest is history.

I met one of the original investors of this web site as an ASPD social even up here in Texas.

His handle on ASPD was "ManintheBoat"

I don't recall his name but understand that he was in the medical profession. Heard a rumor that he has since passed away from cancer.

I will forever be in debt as this site has been a godsend for my single discretionary funds lifestyle. I never imagined that I'd be coming back for my 6th trip in 4 years! No more Las Vegas baby!

I made my first trip in 2004. I had an excellant initiation from an Ex Pat who lives in country. He took me to Del Rey and Key Largo and then some "other" low end places. I was hooked. I found CRT on my search engine after my first trip as I sought to learn all I could. I now have 21 trips totaling 42 weeks of in country experience. Still trying to learn all I can.

I don't remember actually... It might have been a couple years ago when we had a problem with an event we hosted at the Pirate Club, and my buddy needed a place to vent.
