I have eaten in many Thai Restaurants around the world including Thailand (yes the women are amazing) and I have to say Lemon Grass in Escazu was the worst I have ever been to.

The food was terrible and the service was for a lack of better words odd. My food (the green curry) was cold, including the rice, and my girls food was more like Tico rice and chicken. Also, the chicken satay was salty and the peanut sauce was not sweet.... All around terrible. The server told us the chef was going to kick our asses for not finishing our food...lol. Nuts!

Anyway, great forum! Any cool strip joints like the cricket, cheap with hot chicks???

Lemongrass was a real disappointment. We were four and all had different starters and main courses. Their Tom Kha Gai was anything but and a simple chicken satay arrived burned. The rice was sticky (and it wasn't sticky rice we had ordered).

Our Tico waiter was really friendly but clearly had no clue what Thai cuisine was all about. I prefer to cook Thai food at home under these circumstances.

I've eaten at Lemon Grass a number of times. It's true, it's not anywhere close to real Thai food, but it's not bad if you aren't a purist. I find it interesting, but I just don't expect it to be Thai.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
