After seeing what it did to my 6'9" 300lbs buddy one night, think I'll pass.

Ron Centanario XX on sale at the Duty Free!

I picked up a bottle at the duty free on my way home yesterday. The clerk mentioned that they had a "special" on the stuff. Expecting it to be the usual "Muy Tico" ripoff I was suprised to learn that it was actually a good deal! $24 each (instead of $28.00) if you buy two! Needless to say, I bought two!

On my last trip, I grabbed a 1.75l bottle of 7yo Flor de Cana priced at $20. The tica clerk advised me of the "special deal" of a box of four 0.5l bottles for $30. Didn't take me long to do the math! :roll:

Just brought back the 7yo "special deal" this morning...(finally got to the airport with enough time to buy duty free! :D ) The deal is actually for 4 750ml bottles making it a total of 3 litres at 10 bucks a litre.

Too bad about your math skills, Western! :P :)

The Tica clerk told me the bottles were 0.5l each. I couldn't tell from the outside of the box so I asked. My "Que Tico" still applies. :?
There was nothing wrong with my math given the info I had. I didn't even have to use any fingers or toes! :wink:

It's good that you got it straight & made a good purchase. I'm happy with my Centanario XX too!
