Ive been pondering on where to stay during my trip (if lodging is available) I heard the ZB has great rooms that u can get (especially if u have a wingman) where u can split the suite room.. and always a flight of stairs away from the honeys. but as far as Staying at the hotel itself.. do u have to walk by the bar and the chicas everytime u want to go to your room, or is it seperate? How is the noise levels? im sure with constant phucking going on it can't be too peacefull, finally you can get chicas for 20bucks if you stay there? how does that discounted chica rate go?

HDR- the lounge area has the best chicas in town, and its not too expensive to stay at, since i lack a wingman i have noone to split the suite with me at the ZB, as far as quality wise how good is HDR? comfort? convinience?

I have stayed at the ZB (Cohiba suite back in Feb., Bolivar this past Thurs.). ZB closes at 9:00 (earlier on Sundays) and becomes dead at that time, you won't hear very much unless someone is keeping a girl overnight or has brought in some outside talent, which I don't think happens a lot (ZB is definitely not like the Del Rey or Sportsmens in that aspect). Daytime is a different story of course. :D You do pass by the doorway to the bar when going up/down the stairs to the suites, but you don't go through it. Yup, the chicas are $20 each per hour when staying in the suites (plus the IVA tax, something that hasn't really been mentioned).

I've stayed the Del Rey on my earliest trips. There are nicer (and cheaper) hotels, but if convenience is your main goal, then there's nothing more convenient than staying in what is essentially a 24-hour brothel.

I stayed at Morazon. Twice. No problems, very monger friendly as it is close to HDR and Key Largo( less than 3 min. walk away). HDR has a ridiculous tica fee and Presidente has idiotic rules, so I would opt for neither, as far as that goes. Most importantly, get a VIP card by JOINING.
Then go down the list of sponsor hotels and book with them.I like to maintain a policy of taking care of those who take care of me.A philosophy most VIP members would agree with. So I make a point to support those that offer us a discount, and I always thank them for supporting us.Just the way I roll in CR.

The Morazon although a run down hotel is a great place to stay because of it's location. It's best to stay on the second floor because the elevator does not always work  No chica fee, hot water and air conditioning works good. Key safe which costs $3 extra. Plenty of english channels on the TV but remote was taped together and works only for on or off. Don't eat at the resturant and a lot of locals in the bar at 7am partying and drinking. Plenty of second hand smoke in the halways and casino late at night but during the day the doors are open.

Also don't count on any customer service at this hotel. There is internet also and it works about half the time. Walking back and forth to the Del Rey or Key Largo, no need to take a taxi. Plenty of local flavor at this hotel. I stayed in Room 200 on a friday and saturday, They said it was a junior suite and charged me $75 :x The room was okay. Because of the elevator problem, the second floor is primo. You can walk to almost anywhere from there.

The rooms upstairs at ZB are really nice, and the only noise I heard was the music from the bar and even that wasn't bad. The $20 chica rate works really well; the girls seem to prefer going up to the suites. It does work differently though. Instead of paying at the window, you sign a slip at the front counter and run a "chica tab" which you settle up at the end of the night.

I saw that tax listed on the receipts but they only charged me the flat $20/per. (I paid in cash, but maybe they charge you if you pay by credit card???)

great advice fellas. Appreciate all the feedback..

The morazan, seems like a great deal hotel. But i like to dwell in as much comfort as possible and since its my long overdue vacation i want to do it up a bit. But i will keep it in mind as a back up hotel and can't forget the tony soprano discount.. Thanks!

seems like staying at the Del Rey on my first days and then try to move on to the ZB for a a night or two before i depart back home to enjoy their cheap chica rates and the need to get up from the bed to get one. THKS gentlemen..

any CON's on staying at the HDR? negative or bad experiences?

My advice:

Sportsman's Lodge - Then you can ask a million questions to CRTers in person.

Hotel Castillo - Right around the corner from SL.

Hotel La Amistad - Just up the block from SL.

All are reasonably priced and have the "luxury" that you desire. All have free breakfasts. All are better choices than the hotels you have mentioned, IMHO. All are fully reviewed in depth. All are within 3-4 blocks of the Del Rey. Don't walk it after dark.

Stunna - There is no bad options but having done both I think it depends how much you plan on partaking of the ZB girls vs. the DR girls. You can't beat the $20/hour if thats the way you go. The great thing about that is if you do your research on CRT you usually know what your getting with the girls. But if you won't be happy without mixing in a bunch of DR girls its not worth the extra $$$ to be at ZB. I think the Coheba suite would be your only option as a single $195/night - as of 2/08. They do a very nice job taking care of you while your there too...Its a unique experience...

The rooms at the DR are fine - clean and the water works. Ask to be away from the noise they will generally accommodate you. Its also a unique experience just a different kind...

Have fun

Post yesterday wrong place. I think the $200 a night is the best bang for your buck. Was there Super Bowl Sunday, Four Hot Zb girls at one time $80 for hr total for all four girls plus tip. had no wing man took room by myself. Got to see for yourself room is unbeleiveable. I say go for it. I will be there late May for my birthday, and will be taking a room again.
