I've been a lurker for a long time but decided to post since I feel this information need to be known.

We paid $80 per night in the low season which is pretty expensive from the comparisons I've seen here.

Despite having a nice swimming pool, the rooms were really small. no lighting, no window to open when you drop a deuce and TINY beds. When we said we werent happy and wanted to upgrade, we were offered a suite for $60, talked them down to $50 more, but it only had a queen bed.

The chica fee was $20, all in all, I dont understand what allows them to charge the rates the charge.

I admit the rooms are small. And it can be extremely noisy at night when the band is playing. But, as mentioned, it is close to the BB and right on the beach. Nothing like relaxing in the outdoor restaurant, sippin a cold Pilsen. Wish I was there RIGHT NOW.

The rooms next to the pool are not so nice but the more expensive ones in the main building are ok. You have ocean view from there and windows to open.
The pool bar is fun and I always have found some ticas/ ticos there to drink with.

Another example of someone tripping over gold bricks to pick-up pennies!

Bite the bullet and become a VIP! You would have likeley paid for your membership & received better service during your trip as a CRT VIP. If you have been "lurking" any amount of time you should have realized this! It is the first piece of advice given to anyone who is new to the forum.

Anyone who is going to visit CR is well advised to become a CRT VIP beforehand! If you are trying to be cheap by not joining you are fooling yourself.

We will be expecting to see the CR flag under your "handle" on the forum before your next trip!

Climbing down from my soapbox...
