Thank you both. That sounds like good advice which I'll take and keep you posted.

Guys, I'm not sure about this, but here is what I heard is a way to get a chica into Florida. It seems that a chica with a Pasport can travel for 2 weeks to the Bahamas without a VISA; only a Passport. Nassau is a short boatride to Eastern Florida and the Keys. It seems that most sport fishing boats make the trip uninterrupted by the Coast Guard. However, it seems that most of the flights from CR are routed through Florida where they have to clear the transient Homeland Security. Here's a link to the Bahamas VISA requirements:

oops. A chica with a Passport can travel to Bahamas without a VISA for 14 days.

Sorry about that.

Orignal Post Corrected Based upon Whitling's posted question.

I'm opposed to illegal immigration including my own novia but if I ever want to go to the Bahamas with her I'll keep that in mind. However I live in CA..

Update : I relayed my new stragedy to Teresa based on your posts about not mentioning her contact with me and tsalking about Disneyland and shopping. She contacted the Embassy. She needs to do some followup paperwork before getting back to them for an appt. It seems that part of the decision process is subjective.

Thanks again,

WCH

This is true. But it's not just Nassau. Many of the islands are a short boat ride from Florida, including Grand Bahamas, the Abacos Islands, and many of the Eluthera and Exuma's are a stone's throw from Florida. And let's not even talk about CUBA !!!!

I run my boat over to many different Bahamian islands throughout the year, sometimes just partying and island hopping, and other times for fishing or tournaments. And it would be real easy to pick up a "passenger" and bring them back to the mainland. Upon return to Florida, all it takes is a simple phone call to the local customs/immigration office - give them some pertinent info, and they give me a clearance number over the phone - WITHOUT EVER COMING TO THE MARINA TO INSPECT MY VESSEL!!!

I've actually been asked (on several occasions) to take a bribe to bring people back to Florida from the islands. But I would NEVER take the chance. I've been boarded by the Coast Guard more than once, as well as the FMP (Florida Marine Patrol). And I'll tell you what.... these guys don't play!

If you want your favorita to fly to the Bahamas - and then meet her there and play with her for a while - that's fine. But bringing her back across - onto U.S. soil ? Ya might want to think twice about that one...

Thanks for the Info MG. This seemed to me to be too simple to have been overlooked by Homeland Security. I recently heard of a guy doing it with a chica he wants to bring to the US on a fiancee VISA. I told him he was nuts. If she got caught she would be banned from a VISA for 10 years! He took her into the Keys where I guess it's a bit less watched and easier to get into, but I thought the risk was rather severe.

Does anyone know what the other risks are to the chica that goes on this kind of trip? Would she likely be arrested and processed through imigration for several weeks or just put on the plane and sent back to CR?

Lenny- in S. Florida she would be arrested and taken to the Krome Detention Center. Copy and paste link if interested:

Lenny- forgive me. I am a fool. That's what I get for saddling up to the bar with Tony TC on a Wednesday night.

In your scenario, as a female I believe she would be taken to the Broward Transition Center in Deerfield Beach. I have never seen it but am sure it is preferable to one of the county facilities in Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach. Or Krome. Doubt it is as nice as the Federal Detention Center in downtown Miami. This Transition Center is run by the Geo Group (formerly Wackenhut), which is publicly traded on the NYSE and operates "facilities" worldwide, including a Florida DOC prison here in Palm Beach County (South Bay).

Let's not forget what the penalty might be for the guy who is escorting her around when she gets picked up. I hope that pu$$y is worth the risk.

As for her EVER getting a US VISA, keep in mind that she (or you) will have to pay for the application and it is non-refundable whether she gets a VISA or not.

Not to piss on anyone's attempt at happiness but if I were a betting man (and I am) I would lay 3 to 1 on her NOT getting any type of tourist VISA.

Guys, that's what I told him as well. I was kinda hoping this might be an overlooked loophole since the chicas we gringos might be bringing in are not likely to be terrorists or cheap labor.

In fact it had me wondering about the possibilities of bringing chicas in October to Key West for Fantasy Fest. I think it could be a lot of fun with several DR chicas showing off their bolt ons at Fantasy Fest. After all, if you want pu*sy at Fantasy Fest, you better bring it with you. :D

Just a random thought from a horny dude who has been back in the states and away from CR for too long. :D

Ok this is for SmokeDiver and , I'm sure, others.

First of all Teresa and not a "working girl " in fact she's in her forties and still looks good. I met her at a Gringo-Tica introduction party at a restaurant near the zoo north of the Holiday Inn.

I was interested in having her stay with me for a few weeks in the States so we decided to begin the Non Immigrant Visa prosess.

First of all you need to cough up $131 for the interview, I sent $150 and coached her as per advice I received here ie talk about shopping and not mention me.

Teresa set up an interview for Thursday May 22nd but wait !!!! In addoition to confirming family ties and job plus whatever other reasons for wanting to return to Costa Rica she must produce bank statements. A closer reading of the Visa info on the third page confirms this. Problem is she has no bank accouint. (She's a hairdresser and apparently doesn;t make that much money.)

Her amiga who travels to the US said that you need half million colones ($1000) balance. So she is asking me to send her the money to set up the account. So now we're raising the ante.

Two problems with that :

1. As of two weeks ago I'm unemployed.

2. According to the Visa info of the embassy " All applicants for non-immigrant visas are requested to bring their bank statements with them to the visa interview showing no less than three months of activity and a current balance."

Of course, I should have thought of this if you're going to the US to shop without a benefactor ( me) you need money . A woman who speaks little English without much money can't make a convincing case.

not to be a wise ass, but do you think its really such a good idea to discuss this on an open internet board if you really plan anything close to illegal? do you really think you are anonymous on the internet?
not that any of this would be of high priority on a sane political agenda but then again we are talking homeland security...just a thought

We're playing by the application rules as we understand them and we fully intend to abide by the rules of the visa.
