This comes from another board... ArgentinaPrivate.com... and written by the board's owner... Jackson who lives there. it certainly applies to Costa Rica and those who show up in the gulch.

Fantasy vs Reality

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Goblin,

What you experienced was a Fantasy Foreign Romance, which should not be confused with a Real Foreign Romance.

A Fantasy Foreign Romance is a prolonged illusionary GFE experience that can only be provided by a relatively small number of skilled practioners who are generally charming, attractive, intelligent, educated, bi-lingual, and well compensated for their time.

I've known a few FFR providers here in Buenos Aires over the years. As a BA resident I'm not a target of their schemes, but I've come to observe their tactics. They generally stroll for their targets in non-traditional venues such as tourist restaurants, bars, cafes, etc. as well as on the internet, where they can develop and then later nurture their fantasy foreign romance clients.

Experienced FFR providers tend to target guys who are in long-term marriges as they are more likely to be starved (and thus responsive to) affection, as opposed to the standard sport Phucker who's just looking for sex.

FFR providers are accomplished liars, which is understandable as their job requires them to immersed themselves in their target's life for several days at a time without accidentally divulging any of their many secrets (married, Ch*ldren, true age, etc.) or otherwise "blowing their cover".

One of the best quotes I've ever heard from a FFR provider while describing her email strategies was "I never ask them to send me money, I just tell them that I'm having a [fill in the blank] problem and I wait until they offer to help. If they don't send me money, I just cut them off for a few days until they change their attitude, which they always do".

The dissappointing issue for me is recognizing how many guys come to BA, meet a FFR provider, fail to recognize that it's just a paid performance, and instead fall completely in love while making complete fools of themselves calling and emailing several times a day, plying them with gifts, sending them flowers, and of course, sending them money, all of which motivates me to write this report.

A Real Foreign Romance is exactly as written, but it can only be achieved after you have:

1. Quit your job.
2. Divorced your wife.
3. Sold your home.
4. Moved to Argentina.

If you believe that you are involved in a Real Foreign Romance and you have not acomplished everything in the above list, then you are in fact experiencing a Fantasy Foreign Romance and you should govern yourself accordingly.

I agree. You just can't maintain a long-distance romance no matter what the intentions and especially not with a girl who sits on her assets. If you are not on site, the best you can really hope for is keeping a friendly professional on a non-exclusive retainer. Pretty expensive considering that there are no guarantees that she will reciprocate when you return.

Good posting Berk and always timely, no matter how many times this sort of message appears on the board. There was a short time, not too many years ago where I could’ve benefited from it and not for it’s relevance to CR or even BA. Too bad I hadn’t found the CRT well-of-knowledge to drink from yet. This sort of mind-phucking, wallet-thinning scenario plays out in all countries, everyday and is perpetrated on both sexes. I was lucky enough to have come out of the fog rather quickly, only a wee bit lighter, more than a little ashamed of my naivety and miles ahead in my understanding of what people are capable of doing for a buck and how awesomely good they are at playing their roles. These aren’t good lessons to be learning late in life and I hope anyone currently or thinking about sending money will read this and will take the advice to heart.

With every straight-forward pro experience you know exactly the game; pay for play. I have the utmost respect for these straight-shooting P4P girls. For whatever their reasons they offer a valued service for a price; it’s what makes the world go round. If you find yourself falling for one of them or believe they are falling for you, then you are sailing into unknown waters without a compass and are almost assuredly going to shipwreck. I’m sure anything is possible; hell, someday I might be able to speak fluent Chinese while standing on my head and reciting the little red book, but I kinda doubt it. Mis dos colones.

Great reminder for all of us attracted to the flame. It burns. We get caught up on their games and scams and forget that they are Pro’s. We are just weekend warriors or a at best a couple of weeks a year in-training dogs.

The really SAD thing is, I know at least 3 CRT brothers that are caught in this trap right now, They will read this and say "good post, but it does not pertain to me. My situation is different." When in fact it is exactly their situation.

CRT isn't a cure for this DISEASE.It merely provides a place fpr the afflicted to seek help. Unfortunately it is rare for a member to seek help until he has hit rock bottom. (sound familiar) My expression for the response I always get when I try to help someone escape the inevitable downfall is....No,no,no,no (specifically 4 no's)this one's different.

I posted this because I thought it was the most well written piece on the subject I have ever come across. The guy has great insight. I should make copies of this and pass it out on the street in front of the HDR. I could then extort $$$ from the chicas to stop and pay for my trip in no time!

You're a shrewd mofo Berk and a credit to capitalist idealism. May the farce be with you.

Good post Berk,

Jackson does indeed know what he's talking about, especially in BA (but this truly applies everywhere).

I can't recount how many times I've seen this. These girls are the most accomplished P4P practitioners. They always make you feel like this is something different. I admire them actually, they're artists at providing what guys need.

And my advice to the guys may be a little unconventional: If the money you have sent her, or will send her in the near future, adds up to equal or less than the cost of your sessions with her (Oops, sorry, I mean those intimate moments) then don't worry about it, enjoy the ride. But never cross that line where it's costing you more than what you'd pay pulling her from a venue.

If you enjoy the illusion, that's great. It is a neat little niche, and there are many girls who do like the guys they get close to (of course there are far more that are economists about it), but if it's your cup of tea then by all means enjoy the ride. But NEVER lose perspective.

I'm not sure how reasonable that advice is, most guys do lose perspective. But I'm not sure they would heed any other advice anyway.

Personally, I've been fortunate. I've never fallen victim to an RFM or sick Buffalo story. I've had plenty of opportunities with plenty of lovelies, but I've never taken the bait. I'm not looking for Real. Real is a pain in the ass. I can get Real at home, and it's what I'm running from.

It sort of reminds me of a saying: "No matter how hot she is, there's a guy out there somewhere who's sick and tired of dealing with her shit." Truer words were never spoken. That's why we rent it and then run away.

Only if you are certain she has never taken money one time for sex, should you consider anything more than a roll in the hay. This means you've known her over a period of time. Things slip out over time that can give you assurance she has no "puta" blood. You can even bait her with things or money and see the response. If she is dirt poor, clearly struggling - perhaps you met the family and can confirm this - and never brings up money or how difficult her life is, you have one indication out of perhaps 9 others you should garner.

A lot of guys also suspect - rightly - the visa-procuring scam. Again you need time - plenty of it. You can't let that warm glow you feel with her cloud your vision. Believing in love at first sight is dangerous and a rough way to go through life (you young guys out there). It's lust, not love.

But I also don't believe stopping the dreams is good for the soul. If you are not totally jaded and still want someone more significant than a quick suck'n swallow, she's out there, trust me. And she's genuine, well-intentioned, and wants your happiness more than she wants her own.

Now if you can get her to let you phuck around, too....

This guy from Argentina is on the mark.

In CR, I am noticing that the trend on this board has seriously changed to "she is my novia. Hoorrahh" Whereas, when I first joined over 2 years ago, the consensus was don't even date them, just pay for their time. And, we seemed to always call it "session" with them. Now, I hear guys saying "Ohhhh I've got a date tonight." Let's be for real.... If you are paying her for her time, it is NOT a date.

I'm not certain why this has changed. I was in the Gulch yesterday for the first time, in a long time. It seemed that most guys had their hooker/novia. In fact, many CRT guys were talking about their novias. Its just insanity.

The walls of denial are soooo tall. And, Jazz Musician is right. If she has one drop of puta blood in her, she is always a puta. As I've said in other posts, they will never change. Or, let me put it this way, less than half a percent of them are capable of real change.
