In two weeks, I'll be visiting a resort in Guanacaste, which is located in CR's Gulf of Papagayo region. The only city nearby is Liberia. Anyone know of any CRT activities in this area of the country?

Papagayo is located north of playa del coco and has alot of hi end all inclusive resorts.

Check out mr public's recent post about mongering all over CR, it was excellent.

Thanks for the response, Zman. I tried to do a search for "mr public", using various spellings and capitalization variations, but I couldn't find anything. Do you recall where I might find that post your referred to?

Jecrda,
Exactly what information are you looking for? To the best of my knowledge, there are no CRT activities in that part of the country over the next couple weeks. I just took a couple CRT guys (9Fingers & TonyTC) over to Guanacaste this past weekend to fish and play with the chica's (not in that order), but we're back home now. I am usually in Liberia, Playa del Coco, Playa Flamingo, Tamarindo, etc every few weeks. I always post my dates in case any CRT members want to go or meet me there.

Let me know what you're looking for, and I'll see if I can guide you in the right direction. And BTW - if you want to send a PM to Mrpublic, here's a thread that he started:

Many thanks, MG. I didn't realize that there was no space between "mr" and "public", but based on your reference, I was able to do a search for, and to find, the post mentioned by Zman above. It is at:
https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/vi ... highlight=

Very informative.

BTW, I met you last year, in April, at a CRT gathering at Sportsmen Lounge, not that I would expect you to remember me. By "CRT activities", however, I was thinking in terms of babes, chicas - whatever. I want a massage!

I'm sure I'll run into you in San Jose again some day.

I don't know if it will help or not, since it is not about P4P.

It looks like a decent deal for a hotel:

Actually, I have been to this hotel before, but only in the bar for drinks. But it is a beautiful hotel, and the location is outstanding. It's very close to the Four-Seasons Resort in Papagayo, and there is a golf course just up the street from this property. I don't know if the course if public or private though. I'm amazed that they're offering all-inclusive rooms for $99 a night. That's a great price for that property. Only thing is.... I have a feeling that they're not chica friendly.

If you decide to stay there, I'd like to hear your comments afterwards. Good luck!

I'm back. The resort that I visited was in an area right on the coast of the Gulf of Papagayo. Very nice, but also very family- or couples-oriented (and, a bit more expensive than $99/day), as were the various side trips that seemed to be available. I have no idea whether this resort was "chica friendly". The one area that I visited in Guanacaste that (at least I was told while I was there) had a chica thing going on was Playa del Coco, but I did not have a chance to look into it.

Summary: no mongering for me, but a very nice trip anyway.

Jecrda,
Glad you had a good trip. I had a feeling that hotel was more than $99 per night. It's a real nice property, and it's way off the beaten path! Did you happen to notice the new marina being built along the coast in Papagayo? It's going to be huge!
