Would Labor Day be considered a good time of year to plan a trip? Any info or comments welcome.

Depends. Had a great time during Labor Day weekend in '05 and '06, but '07 was a total sausagefest, and supply disappointingly didn't rise to meet the overwhelming demand. And it's time for some new ideas and/or change of venue for the CRT Party.

Personally, if I were to return to CR, it would be on a non-U.S. holiday weekend for better selection and ratios.

I was at the 2007 party also. Bill & staff did a great job, but I probably wouldn't return for another. It was great meeting so many of the CRT members though. I like loud music, but...... If you go I would suggest a date. With the noise level, and people stuffed into a small space, it didn't make for easily meeting the single ladies. Also you had to be on the look out for the bracelet color. I left the party early, and found the HDR/BM & KL to have a decent selection.

What is your intent of going for Labor day? If it is to meet other CRT members, it is probably the best. If it is to meet hot young women easily, it is not so good. I think that if you go to the non-CRT MP's though, I doubt that it would make much difference.

I like holidays since I am single and my girl's are grown. It gives me an extra day or two (Thanksgiving) with no vacation time from work. I think that the holidays that are family oriented are the best.

So far my take on them from the few I have been to:

Labor Day - Great for meeting CRT'ers, not so great for meeting women at the CRT haunts. If you go to the Tico MP's though, it probably doesn't matter.

Halloween - Good time, the ladies really enjoy dressing up and not an overabundance of men.

Thanksgiving: Two extra days of vacation. Being a big family day, not a great amount of CRT members in town. Bill put on a good dinner.

New Years - Again, not many CRT members in town. Other than New Years day, which was like the world had stopped, not a bad place to be. Far fewer ladies, but also far fewer guys.

This year I'm trying 4th of July. If you want to stay with the CRT haunts, ZB, NF, SL, HDR/BM. KL then you are better going the week after labor day. If you want to mix it up and see a bunch of good fellas, and hit a mixture of the CRT haunts and Tico places Labor day could be O.K. If your intent is to have "meaningful relations" with as many hot young Latinas as possible, and don't care how many CRT members that you meet, stay away.

I don't know what you want, but that is my dos colones from my holiday adventures.

Health & happiness to all..

I think Labor Day is an excellent time to be in CR. I agree with GR that the '06 party was excellent----probably one of the best parties I've ever been to in my life--the atmosphere was electric. The '07 party was also fun, but not as much fun as the year earlier.

I tend to like having a bunch of goodfellaz in town. It makes the time when you're not doing chicas a lot more fun.

Special K- like all things in life YMMV.

My second trip to CR was Labor Day. Me and my wingman, The Bearded Clam, went to the CRT VIP party the night we flew out. We knew nobody from CRT prior to going. At the party we met lots of CRT members (ID, Pucho Gusto, Ciao, BK, Prostoner, GR) and drank a lot. Had a couple girls we had met at the Horseshoe chasing us around (thanks to DP). I thought it was a lot of fun, in fact I would be hardpressed to tell you a better "party" I have ever been to. The Clam is adamant that we go back this year for the Anniversary Party (which I assume is LD weekend). We probably will. Will it be as much fun as the '07 party? I don't know but I'm sure I'll have a blast.

I also did the SB party at the SL this year. Both weekends I had no problems with the selection in that I got what I wanted. Which was to hang out with my buddies, drink and gamble excessively, and touch the chicas I selected. Ciao said it well about when the goodfellas are in town...it makes the time more fun when you're not phucking. So Special K, I would maintain LD would be a good time of year to plan a trip. Best of luck to ya.

Correction: prior to the Anniversary Party I had met (and enjoyed some drinks with) the resident gentleman, Tony TC. And much to my chagrin I have yet to be in the gulch at the same time as he (and I am sure he is having a blast there at this moment).

While the '07 party had some good things going for it I think anyone who had attended previous anniversary parties would be hard pressed to say it was as enjoyable. The ever increasing VIP membership forced a change to a larger venue. While understandable it, in my mind, diminished the overall enjoyment.

While on that subject that is something I really do not understand the logic behind. It is a party of mongers looking for good fellowship, good food, some liquid libation and chicas  Why should certain ladies be off limits? Not only are they off limits they are eating and drinking for free and taking up space in an all ready crowded capacity controlled venue. VIP members get no breaks on the price if they are non or light drinkers so why should "do not touch" females? I have no problem paying more so "green bracelet" chicas attended but it kind or rankles me to pay for "red bracelet" ladies.

Just my dos colones, flame away

I'll take a shot at it, since I was accompanied by a "red bracelet" last year: You assume that we are all looking for good fellowship, good food, some liquid libation and chicas. I rarely drink and I believe I had maybe two cocktails at the event, my girl had less. We grabbed a plate of food and shared it back in my room, since there was no place to set down a plate, let alone sit down.

Bottom line is that I knew full well that the guys would outnumber the girls at the bash by about 6-1 so I brought my favorita and her extremely hot sister (green armband). You think I should bring my best girl, then just feed her to that flock of wolves? I don't think so...

If you want to have a great time and a great girl, bring her with you and get the armband. Otherwise, you will just be another "sausage".   8)

Since my reply was also listed in the quote, my take on the armbands which I guess I should have clarified.

I think it was a good idea. Although if they had a red armband, and their Novio/date didn't have to pay for her, bad idea. Only the available ladies should be let in for free, if that was not the case.

I agree with Pac55 that I wouldn't want a bunch of horn dogs, like myself, hitting on a date that I had brought. I also believe that it helped keep from more fisticuffs. Put a bunch of males with their dates, many of whom were drunk, in with a bunch of mongering males, many of whom were drunk also, with no rules (in this case wrist bands), you might as well move the furniture and get ready to rumble. Basically I think the wrist band system is good. I also believe that the red wrist bands should have to be paid for, if that was not the case.

I drank virtually nothing at the party (it was much easier to go to my room and mix one), nor did I eat any food. It was so crowded that I did not want to get into the mess. I still feel that what I paid was O.K. though. Bill and his staff, as usual, put on a wonderful evening. The camaraderie, along with the everything else, was worth the cost of admission.

Sorry if my last post on the wrist bands was not clear.

health & happiness to all...

Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated. As a guesstimate, how many out of town CRT'ers were at the party last year? While I enjoy the popular places like ZB / NF / DR / Key Largo et all, I am hoping to actually get together with BB57 and hit the low rent MP's for a new and different experience.

I also think it would be cool to meet a bunch of CRT'ers so obviously that'd be a good weekend for that. Thanks for the responses Gents and keep 'em coming.

I had a great time last year. An even better time meeting some new faces such as Ron Medellin, GR and others.

Although some of what GR says can't be ignored, I like to work on the premise of no matter how big the sausage fest; it wont effect my time or number of chicas in my room.

Been a busy year for myself but I will be attending the party. I will be in the new wing at the SL...

To early to get excited about it, but I'm sure Admin1 might have something up his sleeve for the 5th Annual celebration

See you bitches there.. 8)

Like most things CRT the reivews are related to where you are in your monger lifecycle. I have been to the last two both at the SL. I enjoyed both thoroughly and will be back this year. For me it is time to party with all the guys I enjoy seeing and meeting some that I do not know. The activites surrounding the weekend involve countless smaller groups and every night Key Largo's back bar becomes CRT central. Yes there are girls at the party and certainly more at DR and KL, but that is not my primary reason for attending.

In particular my first one was only three months after I moved here and I met a ton of guys that I had read posts from but not met in person yet. There were close to equal amounts of girls and guys at the party. The ones with guys were offlimits, but those guys were not availlable to the single girls so the ratio was fine.

The single girls there often complain it is hard to meet the guys who are there to socialize and party.

Got to admit you have me guessing? What are you looking for if none of the above fit your criteria?

I guess I should have bolded "chicas".

Seriously, I attended the party for the fellowship with other CRTers. I had my date lined up a week before the event. The food was great and Bill did a great job but the venue is just too small for that many people, IMHO.

By the way, my favoritas sister Alexandra, arguably one of the prettiest girl in the DR ever, went home alone that night without a single negotiation from the single guys.
