Guys you all ultimately have the choice of supporting the hotel or not. Im a paying customer, mess up once and I likely wont be back.

Jmacaula says it all. If I don't like the service I get for my money then I would be back but so far I'll be there. What someone does with his earnings his is own business, he earned it so he can spend it like he wants.

We Pick SL because of the post we read here. You can get bad service anywhere it happens. They fix the problem and I'm looking forward to meeting some CRT members along with the Ticas I'm drooling over in the Galley. The count down is on less than a month.

Mudpuppy,

I prefer the personalized service and familiar, friendly environment of small SJO hotels (SL, Castillo, La Amistad, etc.). For this reason, I am willing to tolerate an occasional phuck-up or an unexpected room change. In my experience, the owners/managers will go the extra mile if one is willing to let an occasional mistake slide and work with them. After several trips, we all find places where we are comfortable and feel at home. So will you.

Peace,

Sorry, but I felt it was more advice than attack

I also had a reservation glitch on my last visit where there was no room on the first night, but Bill was great in helping me get a room at the Amon plaza. Thanks Bill!

Nailed it! :!: :!: :!:

Bill's occupancy rate has been phenomenal. His staff bends over backwards to accommodate our constantly changing demands. I have stayed in most of the rooms, including Amor, Paz and Esparansa and have never had a bad time there.

They make you move in order to try to keep the best rooms filled and to try to keep everybody happy. Could it be improved? Sure. But that is no reason to attack the host who has obviously been doing a lot of things right.

GR and everyone,

I think Bill will take care of this fairly, as always, BUT, having said that, I suggested that they get a more updated system soon rather than later about about 3 years ago before SL fame and fortune went thru the roof. I mentioned this to Bill, Johanna, and Ray(when he was there). I was told this system (the one in place at present) worked quite well. I offered to write an easy to use custom program in Excel that would save him from buying a custom software program and would not require anything more than me writing a few macros and it would record all the necessary info. Oh well, fortunately it doesn't happen to often.
