Well I have been curious about dating services like spanishseyes and all the others.

Completely as an experiment I am going to give it a try. No I am not desperate to meet the love of my life. I am just curious to meet some non working girls for a new adventure in SJO and see if the services have any value.

I will determine if they ARE nonworking girls and if there is any value.

I can't speak for the younger girls but I did meet my ex-wife indirectly through an agency in Cali in 1999. In my estimation all of the girls I met in my 4 days there were legitimately looking for a husband.

Last year I met 3 ladies in Colombia through Match.com. This was all done within just a few weeks before my trip. All 3 were exactly as advertised and very nice ladies. Of course they were over 40 but I'm over 50.

If you're looking for the under 30s I would guess most would be open to an "arrangement" of some type. If they're good looking they probably aren't hurting for male companionship so there is a good chance they are actually on the site looking for a husband.

Be wary of two things:
1. Don't take advantage of them just to "shoplift the pooty".
2. They are very sweet and it is easy to fall in love with them. Be prepared.

You might be in for a shock when you start checking out the chicas on these sites. A very high percentage of the DR/KL chicas are on these sites, especially Latinamerican cupid. My ex novia (a KL chica) is and has been on this site for 2-3 years. She and a lot of others have made a game out of getting $$$$ out of poor unsuspecting gringos. Next time you are in the KL watch how much time many of them spend on the computers there. And they are not emailing family. The last time I checked, I counted 38 DR/KL chicas that I reconized on that site. And the site you mentioned, Spanisheyes, also has a lot of them.

Shop in Colombia not only for this reason, but because they are better looking than Costa Rican chicas and more deserving.

The reason I say more deserving is because I have a friend that went to CR through an agency and he said many of the CR girls would not show for the date or if they did show they were very late.

The other thing about CR is that things aren't so bad in CR that they are dying to get out. Women in countries with less fortunes are aching to get out and will look back only occasionally.

I agree with Witling, don't do it unless you are serious. You give them hope for a better future and then yank it away is not fair - bad karma so you'll pay in the end.

I owned two dating sites in cali colombia, esamor.com and mylatindream.com both I shut down. The reason I did was I didn't want to be part of a scam on my brothers who where really looking for a good wife. some of the ladies were pro's some where looking for a good man but most were hooking there next western union sender. many ladies I took off the site because they had 5 to 8 men at a time sending money. It takes time to do all the paperwork for your new wife to come to the states, some 8 months and about 4k. 8 months is a long time and your new wife will be writing asking for money for reason after reason, which to you she is going to be your new wife so you will send it to her. 500 per month times 8 men is a huge amount of money in colombia. if you do get her to the states you must sign a form stating you are held accountable for her, if she divorces you then your still on the hook, until she leaves the u.s. most will stay with you for the two years till they get the green card and then its bye bye john kansas. one guy wrote me to say that once they flew into miami to get a connecting flight, they picked up their bags and a latin guy walked up to her and they hugged and started talking she told him he was a old friend, next thing he knew they both walked out the gates and into a waiting taxi and off she went. I have hooked up others that are still married to this day and things are fine. but about 80 percent of my girls where out for the money or the free ride, and they don't care one bit about the guy who was going to pay the bills. one of my girlfriends was paid for photo shoots that other dating sites used to hook the guys. even the ladies don't want their family to know they joined a dating site because most have bad reps. also some of the good girls turned bad because of guys coming talking marriage only to get the cookies free for a week or two. then they would leave, never to speak to the lady again. she gets her heart broken a few times then she starts getting all she can get from the next guy before he can use her. so its a two way street. I found my wife in cali, and we have been married 3 years and have one little girl together, and never have we had a problem ever.. if your wanting a good wife then take notes. first. make sure your stuff is tight, from your head to your toes to your nails. 2nd. learn to speak the lan. 3rd. pick a lady that is near your age, if your 50 to 60 you can find a 20 year old, but it's not going to last. 4th pick a lady with a job. my wife worked 6 days a week for 170.00 a month. as a backjack dealer. she could have had two dates per month and made more then that. so that told me she was not a pro, and had pride in herself. if you find a lady without a job from a poor family and she has a lot of nice clothes and a cell phone, or boob job, she is a working pro. no doubt about it. 5th. plan on spending time in that country, you think you can know someone in two weeks and they fall in love with you and marry you, how crazy is that. one tour site brings you down, you spend friday night at a party with 600 women,, sat. night party the same,, then sunday a pool party with one lady you picked. now that's all the tour company gives you for 1k. I saw man after man staring the paperwork and handing their lady a ring,, three dates? all you know is what a azz she has that's it. spend the time to make sure. 6th. if she takes you home to meet the family. that's huge, and a great sign. buddy of mine placed a ad and said he was moving to cali and looking for a wife, what this did was cut out all the players who just wanted a free ride to the states. cool move on his part. hope this helps.

SOME ONE THAT IS VERIFYING WHAT I HAVE BEEN TELLING GUYS ever since I went thru the meet beautiful Colombiana, fall in love, send money, get married, send money, get her to the states, mucho dinero. she hate everything about the life in the states, mucho dinero,stop paper work (got lucky stopped papers before I had sign my total life away)pero mucho dinero, kick her out, lucky me -NO DINERO, divorce, poquito dinero(again lucky. total cost $175,000 in 2&1/2 years.

Many guys just refuse to believe me when I tell them many many of these chicas are pros, and they are working multiple guys for dinero at the same time.

BB where do you get this info? I can barely find 37 woman in all on CR on that site let alone DR putas .

Personally the Jury is still out on that site But there are tens on thousands of woman on there I get 40 to 50 interests per week .I cant explain why 23 yr olds in Peru want to chat with me there not all scammers .

There is a culture of dreams (or fantasy ) In these countries about meeting a Gringo getting married and living the good life . Im sure since Scams are common against lonely gringos in L america that these sites are saturated with them But If you screen them you will find some Gems ,just ask the guys like me who have met them .

Some are here in the states too ,I spoke with one today . It takes up the time ,is cheap and you can practice typing your spanish and portuguese ..maybe even line up a few regulars for your next trip .The "Romance trips " are total BS stay away . Bueno Suerte Y Boa Sorte JG

I'll be attending a party put on by Latinwomenonline.com at the Hotel Europa and it costs big bucks. I'm in touch now , thru the same agency,with a 47 year old woman who has a steady job and looks good for her age.

There are over 250 Ticas with pictures and many more than that without pictures on LatinAmericanCupid. I have seen that many pictures that I reconized, actually I know many of them as they are friends of my ex novia who is also on there. And in the past I spent many hours with her and the other KL chicas in the computor room in the KL''Actually helped them translate emails from unsuspecting gringos. That is where I get the info!!!!
