Yeah, I recommend "The Santa's Bro Foundation" because through the help we can provide we can all be Santa's Bro for a little while.
The Santas Bro Foundation is a perfect name. Let's leave the place better than we found it!

I agree with this it has a generic Santa ring to it and for us here who know it honors the man who started it.

I gave at the office. Just kidding. I know a lady in Limon that raises unwanted Ch*ldren in her home. I took 4 bicycles , clothes and toys there for Christmas. Man , these K*ds flipped out. They were so grateful.

Come on all you smart, funny dudes, something clean, but clever. With all the smart a** remarks we make to each other, this should be a breeze.

Health & happiness to all..

Steve - Santas Bro

Some ideas:

"Gringos4Ninyos"

"CRTGringos4Ninyos"

"SantasBro and his Gringos for Ninyos"

"Gringos por ninyos"

Um, maybe we should avoid "Gringos" & "Ninos" together in the name?
Don't want folks to get the wrong idea.

Maybe something like: CoataRicaTicas.com Helping Orphans?

It would be nice if we could use CRT or SL in the name , but I am afraid we would eventually be discovered. Once someone decides to make an issue of the help coming from mongers this whole thing could get scrapped.I also agree with what Johanna said about not giving them money. By bringing in requested items that they make immediate use of , we made a direct impact. Maybe that would be a good name... "Direct Impact Ch**drens Foundation".

I agree, things would go down hill pretty fast if the media ever found out mongers were helping Ch*ldren, oh the spin they would put on that. Santa's Brother's Foundation has a nice ring to it. Of course we might be able to get by with; Ch*ldren Receiving Tribute - Support & Love (CRT-SL)

I would not worry about how the hobby status affects thier ability to recieve our donations. For a few years in TJ I helped organize fiestas to raise money for an orphanage, run by the Catholic Church in Mexico. We managed through three fiestas a year, to cover most of the operating expenses of the orphanage. Along with books and school expenses and Christmas gifts. The money was raised by ******* being raffled off, lesbian shows where the performers donated thier tips, massages as well as cigars and scotch as well as tequila being auctioned off. At some point we are sure the nuns are aware of how we got the money. But they gladly accept it.

I am repeating myself but I think santas bros or santa bro bros is best it is generic and everyone know who santa is. In my little time I got to speak to Steve it was very obvious he is well liked and trusted and having his handle in the title would insure a certain legitimacy as well as give the guy who wants no recognition his due.
Just my thoughts carry on.

Right on, smelvis. Please respond to the fiesta poll in this section to see what the level of interest is in doing an event for the K*ds.

Johanna has e-mailed me, and says that clothes in good condition, clean, with no rips would be O.K. Maybe just put a couple of items you don't wear anymore in your luggage, or a couple of pieces of K*ds clothes. I would assume that adult items could be used for their parents, or others. I having some different clothes, new to them, would have a great, and positive, effect on their psyche.

As MrLasVegas has said, he is interested in having a couple of fund raisers during the year. It seems to me to be a good idea, but will listen to the group. Any chance to party with you bunch of wild, and crazy, dudes seems good to me.

We should shortly have an on-line way to donate. I will post more as it happens. For now, the SL is accepting monetary donations at the desk.

Thanks again for all your support, it show the quality of men that are CRT members.

Health & happiness..

Steve - Santas Bro

One of our members, Harvoolio was kind enough to donate a projection TV:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... ductdetail

The orphanage is obviously very happy about this. Johanna is having it installed today. I have an e-mail to Johanna about what type of DVD's they would want. As soon as I get a response, I will post what type of Spanish DVD's they request. It will be an inexpensive way to give, and help the Ch*ldren pass the day, and learn at the same time.

Thanks much Harvoolio, your generosity is greatly appreciated.

I posted a challenge on the NASCAR thread in the VIP section just for fun. Not sure if anyone else wants a part of it, but maybe a few will.
