Made reservations at the Copacabana in Jaco Beach last night and was told no longer accepting CRT VIP cards for discounts anymore. Is that true or are they trying to get as much as possible for me, Is that hotel woth $115.00, is there any recomendations from members who have been there before and, would they go back or choose another place to stay at.

They tend to drop discounts IN SEASON.... The Mentality is amazing, lets piss off the people that actually visit when nobody is there in lieu of the fact they are busy for 3 whole months....

What can I say Come the day after Easter they once again accept VIP Cards...

Sorry Guys its the C.R. Mentality of people that do not understand business. NO we do not need to start a thread on this subject.

Altho I have long since crossed off the Copa from my hotel list, and hence my info may not be up to date, "CR mentality is not an excuse, as I believe that this is Canadien owned.

Capt. Jack.IMHO the Copa is worth the money.I have stayed at several Jaco hotels & it remains my favorite. With the construction going on in Jaco it is also probably the quietest upscale hotel in town.

I have stayed there many times and would say it is my favorite because I know the staff pretty well and only have one other hotel experience to compare it to. That being said .... It is NOT worth the money. I would suggest the small poolside rooms should go for about $70 and the oceanfront should be around $110. They could stay booked 12 months a year at these prices IMO.

I will continue to stay there as well. Ideal location, I like the staff as well. And, yes, it is away from the construction. The only problem is that I have heard on the board that they now require a 4 night minumum. If that is true, that could be a problem for me.
