Gents, I look forward to seeing some pals and meeting some new ones. Been a hectic month but I can't wait until SB weekend. To visit my old haunts and see some new ones. And try some of the restaurants that have been recommended (I have been reading up since my last trip). And another SL gathering (that LD party was one of the more enjoyable social events I have attended). Even if I have to watch Mucho Gusto's 'Boys against the Pats in the big game. Should be a great time. :D

Irish Drifter, please tell me you will be coming to town (and staying in the gulch to avoid a drive home) for the SB party at the SL.
[How about the 'Canes basketball team (although I can't name a player on the squad and have watched a couple of the games that have been televised)?]

I will be in CR Jan 30 until Feb 4.

Will be at SL on Wednesday night.

The next 3 nights I will be in Manuel Antonio with my favorita, but will return Sunday for the Super Bowl Party at SL. Staying at Amistad the last night.

Staying at Clarion Amon Plaza. Saturday and Sunday nights (2/2-2/4). It seems the gulch is pretty crowded; SL, ZB, HDR, Hemingway all full. Saw Holiday Inn advertised >$200/night. Excluding chica fee.

Usually skip the SB party since it moved to SL. Was a good time when it was at ZB before it outgrew that venue :cry: Might try the Hotel M if they come up with a party.

Canes BB team are a real pleasant surprise. So far they have not made ESPN here so can only read about them. If they do a decent job in the ACC they may get an invite to the NCAA tournament. Hard to imagine a UM basketball team overshadowing the canes football team :shock:

As for me I am more a fan of the food and drinks, and good game whoever plays.
