This is not the place to argue the pros and cons of a political issue, BUT based on what you are saying, you are the one that is being nieve, confused, narrow minded(no; closed minded). and JUST PLAIN WRONG. That is unless you work for the government or own a business that is getting rich expoliding latins.. OH! I know the US mentallity says "if it is good for the US, it is good for those poor 3rd world countries" Or "only the US knows what is good for the rest of the world" and YOU wonder why the vast majority of the rest of the world hates and is afraid of the USA?? If you are old enough to remember why we (the USA) hated and were afraid of communist Russia when they were the other "super power"; then you should realize the rest of the world looks at the US today the same way we looked at Russia then "trying to dictate and rule the rest of the world in the name of democracy (instead of communisim) And I know most Americans do not see it this way but the rest of the world DOES!!!

As for Mexico, I spent 25 years working with the Mexican people. AND if you think there is a middle class in Mexico or that the average Mexican is better off post NAFTA, you are either more nieve and uninformed than I thought OR as i said earlier, you are getting rich off of them.

The high taxes here are on imported products, not on tico made products. Sure there is a heafty tax on the breakers because the company is forgien owned, but the tax is on all the products produced not just the ones sold here.

Until you have lived and worked in 3rd world countries, don't tell me my perception is clouded
