Interesting ... Now that I think about it , I don't recall ever seeing any hellicopters flying around in all my trips to CR. Guess I'm too busy making sure I don't break an ankle on one of the many sidewalk obstacles.

There is a chopper at the Los Suenos compound. It is owned by the gentleman that owns the Lady Colombo yachts. I have heard from $800.00 to $1200.00 from SJO to Jaco, about 15 minutes :D

N2, make sure you have your kabar in your teeth as your rappelling down the rope into the Beatle Bar

White House in Ezcazu has a heli pad. They advertise they can arrange to have you picked up and brought there by chopper or you can be picked up there. Think they use a charter company rather than actually owning the chopper.

Just a bit expensive IMHO , When you can get there via a comfortble van for 12 (very comfortable for 6) in 1 1/2 - 2 hours for $100-125 if you can negotiate.

But can you repel from a van with a KBAR in your mouth while holding off 50 armed banditos? I think not. :D

Definitely can not do that from a van, hard to repel, KBAR dropped out of mouth after hitting that last huge pothole and they only send 5 banditos for a van (union rule). :P :P   :P :P

Maybe with CAFTA more banditos can exit the van at once since it will be a more open market. :D :D
