One thing I've learned over the past 3 years. You can take the girl out of the DR, But you can't take the DR out of the girl. Sorry to hear about your misfortune Post, She seemed to have a dark side to her personality. 1 session at ZB should help with the healing.

but as you know you no one will ever get it until they have experienced it.

I feel for guys that fall into this trap that they set for themselves at least the first time but when they repeat it over & over I just have to laugh. Some guys I see thrive of off this drama. What El Ciego points out is so true we all want to believe but most of us should know better. I think it is better for me to leave it at its peak with some of the great manipulators out there. This way you can hang on to the memories & believe if only I had the time or a 2nd life it would have been great. It always ends well like this for me.

I think for me what might hurt the worst isn't the betrayal, but the idea that I could have read someone so poorly.
I agree this is the worst part for me by far  ! The betrayal is something most of us have had to deal with at some point & I expect this from even the best ones that have never worked P4P. Even though these are bitter pills to swallow it doesn't make me a bitter person. That serves no real purpose except to make your life harder than it has to be.

Let's change the scenario a bit. You meet a hot woman at the local Great Clips where you get your hair cut. You date, it gets hot, it looks permanent. She still goes to work cutting hair, right? But she doesn't lie to you if she wants to work. You'll never get, "Sorry honey, I blew you off because I had family problems" when she gets into the Focus and drives to the strip mall. She feels no need to lie to you.

Do you seriously believe that's an appropriate analogy?

"Look maybe your method of [cutting hair] differs from mine, but touchin' his [hair], and [letting a man stick his dick] in her holyiest of holyies, ain't the same ballpark, ain't the same league, ain't even the same fuckin' sport."

Why not?

We accept that prostitution is what these girls do for a living.

I suggest that it may be our Judeo-Christian upbringing that prompts us to refer to vaginas as "holiest of holies."

The whore divorces herself from her feelings. She has to, otherwise she couldn't have a "normal" relationship for love's sake, right?

She can, as most women can really love...but not with clients. Her private life is I believe, her private life, and it can never cross with her job for the sake of protecting her real emotions. Life is life, work is work.

When it's real love, perhaps her vagina does indeed become her holiest of holies. It is the vessel of Ch*ld-bearing and the source of pleasure for her, too.

But work's a different story.

It's manual labor combined with the jobs of actress and den mother, psychologist and sometimes, acrobat. Fact is, they (by choice) usually feel nothing for us that could possibly endure, beyond fondness if we treat them well.

I really don't see prostitution as being any different from other "body services," including massage and yes, hairstyling. The only difference is condition of undress and which part eventually gets shortened. So yes, to answer your question, I do believe that it is an appropriate analogy.

And I think it's healthier for us to think of it that way, rather than delude ourselves with all this novia B.S.

Ciego.....you are dead on with you explaination. I have DR Colombian hooker amigas. Two plus years now. Great friends and good women in matters from the heart. I was at their place everyday except one for the past week. We don't get nakked so there's no bullshit. We have had many conversations about this very subject. What you wrote is exactly as though you took dictation with them speaking.

Pro,

Losiento,

There are many things that can be found in the gulch; companionship, laughs, sex! However a serious NOVIA is not on the list. There are many good Latinas out there who have the makings of novias and esposas.
HOWEVER, I fear once they have ben seduced by the dark side of the force ( HDR, P4P etc.) their inate ability to have a NORMAL relationship is perhaps ruined forever. There are those who only want the convenience of P4P and the easy companionship it offers and than there are many who sometimes even unknown to themselves want a deeper more committed relationship.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Sure these hookers can have a heart & even maybe a normal love life after their career is finished but what they learn deep down about men & their ability to completely separate their emotions make them some of the most dangerous troubled women on the planet. The out comes prove this no mater how you wish it were not so.

That is such a great point.

So what are you going to do?

American guys get screwed when they come to Costa Rica and play the monogamy game with Putas.

These women are not beyond hope. If you find a good one, you should give them a chance. Where things go wrong is Gringos make the mistake of committing to monogamy before the putas have proved themselves.

Give up your monogamy? Nice guy. Big mistake. You loose.

It is up for them to prove that they can live like a normal Tica.

Putas are in the top tier of wage earners in CR. It is up to them to show that get a job and live on the same wages of a normal respectable Tica. Maybe that means moving in with her family. Whatever she has to do, it is up to her to prove herself worthy of monogamy first. If she can do that, then consider a monogamy commitment on your part. Until then, the realty is she is a pro and you are a free agent. Enjoy your time when you are together, but play the phucking field like a Latino.

Do give up your monogamy first, and do not send money, and you are the one in control.

In my opinion, if you play by those rules, you can play the Novia game without getting hurt.

Getrythym,

"You Phuck!"

Hey, thanks for reminding me of that movie. Everyone considering a trip to the Del Rey for the first time might learn something by watching Blue Velvet before they go...

Ps I still recommend the book by David Buss The Evolution of Sexual Desire if you really want to understand how women think. They are in fact, the product of 3.5 billion years of evolution. Their DNA does the talking, no matter what you guys might think.

So now I know, I was the biggest fool. Please flame me all you wish. But this post is another warning from personal pain. Don't ever think you can change these girls. They have hearts of ice and all the want is dinero. She played me for every last bill she owed this month. Things were going so great. However, once all the bills are paid she picks a fight and kicks me right out.

It doesn't matter what you say as a warning as one who has been there and done that, there will immediately be another poor bastard that will disregard your warning and immediately think that they can change water into wine or make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. And yet, there are plently of nice girls in CR, Colombia, Panama, whereever, but you have to put in a lot of work and effort to really get to know them, study their langauge, etc. etc.

Most mongers are not willing to make this commitment, but for some reason they think they can take a short cut, but it always ends up the same way, Piece of evidence Number oh I don't know 1 million and seven?

Look, the bottom line is that Pro got burned, and that sucks, but there is a lesson there for all of us. No RFMs!!!

But I'd also like to point out -- in what other monger chat board are you going to get literary quotes and (i'm not p*hucking kiddling) POETRY from brothers trying to commiserate. This is a special place. Look for my lifetime avatar tomorrow.

And pro-- everyone is weak. People (and I'm talking about every human being I ever met) fail to see what they've got until it's gone. I'm talking about her, not you.

I agree with the rest -- her loss, your safety, not a total tragedy. but make it a personal positive. Pretend for a moment she was a gringa in manhattan, and figure out what THAT damage would have been. just a thought.

Pros...

Now that it's been a few days, how are you feeling?

I hope you're better!

I hope to be down there to hang out with you in the near future. We can commiserate (go to ZB) together...

Feeling better and better each day thanks to so many who have shown their support...thanks all.
On another note, I tried to get the clothes I left behind back and Alicia wants me to pay $40 for them!!
I (and all the others on this board who liked her) now know that behind that beautiful exterior and beautiful personality lurks a monster. Be careful guys...use her body for the night but don't carry it any further.
