When the plane slide off the runway monday like one did last year I needed a hotel. Last year Ticafan suggested the Inca Real. It is a small hotel about two doors down from the Clarion. 1.5 blocks from ZB. It has wireless internet that Alanchar says works real good. I stayed there last year for 3 days waiting for Wilma to pass over Maiami. And this last labor day we stayed there one night till they cleared the runway. It is a nice little hotel. We have the CRT discount there now. Alanchar took the single room and I got the double. Castillo was booked. Alanchar got a nice room queen bed good strong hot shower safe in room key type. For 40.00 dollars a night. No window in room. People are nice. No tica fee with VIP card. Some sort of breaskfest. We left at 5;45 am so do not know what. Did not ask if you could have two guest. But I had one with no fee. I got the double. It was nice. A Queen bed and a single bed. Set up for a family traveling.

With a 40 a night and no Tica fee 1.5 blocks from ZB and staffed 24hrs with gated door access it is a nice spot. Sheets were clean and they had the towels made into little things on the bed. Nice queit fan above the bed.

Thanks on getting us this discount Admin[/b]

There are lots of nice little hotels down there that aren't publicized if you know where to go. I always like to explore the area and even others for re-peat visits. So long as its clean, secure and happy what else could you ask for?

Do they have any rooms with windows?

I do not know. But you could e-mail them and ask. They are listed on the VIP discount page.

Inca Real = should be on the top of the list for hotels to try.

Cleanliness: 9 out of 10
Attentiveness by Staff: 8 out of 10
Noisiness: HOLY SHIAT they were doing construction and at 8am you hear banging until 5pm. This was probably a rare occurence, so 8 out of 10, quiet form the street, etc.
Security: 8 out of 10 -- locked double gates, doors have decent keys (but no keycards). Safe in the room (similar to sportsmens).
Convenience: Excellent.
Value: BETTER now with discount.
Air Conditioning: Get used to none, but you don't really need it. Fan is really adequate.

What I can say is that the hotel caught fire once.

Otherwise, a GREAT VALUE.

Yes terminater there is a TV with lots of Channels.

The price is right and it has been a great back up on 2 occassions. I also think it could get better if I took the time to get to know the staff. I beleive the owner is an older lady who is on site alot.

All that said, I am still booked at Castillo for my trip in oct. I like to lay down stakes. For now Castillo is my home away from home.
