Not making excuses but the D has now lost 2 DB's Mike Brown and Nate Vasher, 2 DT's Dusty Dvoracek and Darwin Walker (not counting Tank Johnson), and the best LB (Sorry Urlacher is not as good as) Lance Briggs.

Dallas looks pretty good out of the gate this year.(scoring a lot of points with a good defense.)I am going to go watch them beat up a poor St Louis team this Sunday with a bunch of my friends.

Let us not forget last year the Giants stared 6-2 before imploding. Dallas can get off to as hot a start as they'd like; much like as in horse racing the first 1/2 mile isn't going to determine the winner.
Eli will have the Giants ready when it counts.

Your right about it being like a horse race. The teams that can keep healthy usually find their way to the finish line.

Yea right, he has certainty proved that since he has been in the league. :P

Even if that was true the coach will not have them ready. Calling TC a coach is being kind by the way.

Mucho Gusto can laugh all he wants to, a la this month's TOTM when he dropped his drawers  ....ID, you are correct that Eli has done little in the league (nothing actually) but now he finds himself in a situation without Tiki and with a city that has no patience....El Silencioso I don't believe Tom Couglin will be dismissed during the season...of course, if this year has "Tom Must GO" chants at the Meadowlands I reserve the right to change my opinion.

Dropped my drawers ?!?!?!?!?

Although I have not tasted this month's TOTM, I would love to.

BUT..................

Based on what I'm hearing (word on the street) about her asking price(s) per hour, TLN and/or per day, I don't think I'll be having her for lunch anytime soon! No worries... there's plenty more :!: Plus, in the very near future, her sister will become her toughest competition! :o And P4P competition amongst the chica's is always good for us!!!

MG

Here is my take on that situation,

Couglin would have been let go after last season EXCEPT that the man they wanted (Bill Cowert) would have required the NYG to pay Pitt a large amount of money and give up a draft choice. That will not be in play next season so the Giants decided to keep Couglin this year, heave him overboard after the season, sign Cowert.

Remember sports fans you heard here.

I have to disasree with you on this one....Dallas Cowboys....Wade Phillips =(Lame Duck) Jerry Jones is going to spend the moon to get Bill Cowher, whether it be next year or the following..BANK ON IT...As much as I hate to admit it Cowher not Wade will lead them to their next Super Bowl. I hate the Cowboys, even before they beat the Bears.

My guess, the old time Giant ownership will probably go with another retread coach such as Buffalo did with the Dick Jauron hiring. (we all know how that will tiurn out, Jauron being fired in the next 2 years, probably when Marv Levy finallly retired.......

Innovation !!! NOT a NY Giants trademark.....

I have to say you are wrong El S. I really look for Cowher to go to NY. They will fire Coughlin after this year.

NY is also the wet dream of coaching if you can win a Super Bowl there. No one has done it since Parcells left and if you can do it in the pressure cooker of NY then you are a god. NY also has the money to throw at Cowher and it's closer to home in NC for him. Also keep in mind that Cowher is already working in NYC so there is likely contact with Giants officials.

Cowher has said repeatedly he is taking 2 years off. His K*ds are finishing school and he wants to be around before they graduate. I will stick with my prediction Bill Cowher in Dallas in 2009.
