From the beginning this thread has been the most beneficial to me. It has been some of the most honest discussion I've read here. Listening has helped me better see that power, class, money and emotion are all at play in the game. This game is played worldwide. I just like the honesty of it in CR. As well as the benefits. I like being nice to these chicas. I have gotten to know a few because the talk to me - I think being African American comes into play in my relationships with many of them also. I'm also a pretty nice guy. I have paid and not paid. I have seen folks dog some of these women and been told stories by both sides. If I want to do more - spoil somebody - I will. If not I won't. I'm clear, we all go baggage - I'm not looking for love, I'm lookking for honesty. And in CR to me the game is honest.

I sense a real need to bring this thread back up. SJO is a game. Do not be fooled into thinking otherwise. We're talking "Hookersville" here. It's not a party of chicas lookin' for love. It's a commercial transaction much like buying an ice cream cone at Pop's. Lick it until it's gone and savor the flavor, but realize man cannot live on ice cream. Likewise, these hot little hookers are not novias.... they are hookers. Love doesn't fit into the equation.... only cash!

Women in general are masters of deception and the chicas of the DR have Phds in deception(with all the practice they get)They have a sense of what kind of guy they can take advantage of and proceed to separate him from his money by inventing bad luck stories.It's a jungle out there so watch your step!

I have developed somewhat of a friendship with a DR chica. To see us together one might think we're lost in love - holding hands, sighing, staring into each other's eyes....We have great sex. Last time we were together sho told me she hardly ever comes and I made her come three times. She married a gringo she met in the DR and now they are getting a divorce. Recently she told me how she met a gringo who really liked her. He asked her what her best experience was from the DR and she told him about me. He was pissed. She told him that I am a customer of hers but it happens that we have hot sex. She explained to him that he should not be coming to the DR to find love.

She and I can play the BFE/GFE thing and at the end of the night she gets paid and we are both happy. We acknowledge that we enjoy each other's company but would not otherwise Phuck if not for the money.

I would not want to Phuck her for free. It complicates things.

I remember when the movie "Pretty Woman" came out. The general plot was that a high-dollar businessman broke up with his girlfriend and then stumbled on a hooker and decided to pay her to escort him for a week to his social functions, etc. as he didn't want the hassle of a relationship.

I look at the CR girls the same way. We can pretend we are BF/GF and behave as such but as long as she gets paid for what she does that keeps my options open and we both know where we stand. I have even told her not to sit and talk with me because I don't want to cost her business. She knew I was staying at the HZB and was jealous, saying "I don't want you to be with those girls." I told her it was none of her business. She explained that she might be a little jealous but more importanly her female ego wants to believe that I would rather pay for her sex than some other chica. She does understand the appeal of variety but like any good business person she is trying to capture market share and she acknowledged the same.

We are very real with each other. We do have fun together but we both know what the real score is and everything is in perspective.

I pity the guys who get caught up in the emotion.

An earlier poster said that the game is honest in CR. I think it is for those who approach it right. When you pay a chica for sex you have the control of the relationship; you hold the cards.

You guys are making so many great points that it is impossible to comment on all of them.

I think it is fine to pretend you are in love. Pretend she is your Novia. Pretend that she thinks you are something special. She in fact may really think you are special, but in the end, that does not really matter.

As the other poster said, Women are masters of deception. DR girls have PHDs. I love it!!!!! I don't want them telling me the true. The truth is that I am too old and fat for them to have any interest in me if there wasn't $$$ involved.

I fall in love just about everytime I go to the gulch (about once a week). Then I get home and reality hits, I have this huge stack of phone numbers of other chicas that I fell in love with and I never called any of them back either.

I have just returned, and there are two things that I'd like to share. This trip reinforced for me my belief that sexual intimacy is soul sharing. Perhaps one can call it chemistry at a spiritual level. Each time, and the more, you have sex with a person the more of one's soul is shared. Some people are more in touch with their souls than others - to be frank I have met some pretty fragmented people out here. Hence perhaps the game is to share just enough for the sex to not be mechanical - though that works for some - not me - but some. But not share so much of one's self in the experience that you give up the power position - control of how much of yourself or your resources you will give. Perhaps this is where someone before quoted the no more than three visits to any one chica rule comes into play. Regularity breeds habit and habits are hard to break for a very good reason. We do get connected emotionally - it's simple biology/psychology.

Secondly, my chica friend recently told me - "Amor no come mi hijos". This is a universal truth. Not many people want to die for love or for their hijos to suffer because they don't have enough to feed or clothe them. So the sense that men provide and women manipulate us into providing when we are reluctant to do so (or in America take men to court) is also natural. I would imagine that if the economy was better there, the standard of living more middle/upper middle class then "gulch" travelers would be elsewhere. And I don't think that many chicas are going home to condos, houses or even apartments with all of the amenities to which we have grown accustomed. So for me if I, or anyother "gringo" get caught up, fall in love, send money, believe that chicas can love also, or any of the other stuff that many here regard as fool hardy then "don't hate the player hate the game".

Yes, you are both right. But comer is also not as literal in Spanish (partiucularly in Central America) as in English. i.e. in English, "I want to cover you with kisses" is the translation of "Quiero comerte a besos" Or one can sat the verb "to eat" inherantly means to feed oneself so the word "comer" in Spanish is proper to use because of the context. If you were to make "comer" reflexive by adding the suffix "-se" to the end, it would sound very strange because you would not be specifying the recipient of the food, but would rather be signifying that the person had become the food. But not so with the verb "to feed" which is less specific and can mean to provide sustinance for others or for oneself (much like "alimentar" as suggested)

Ok OldQDog, what did she really say? Could it's been "mis hijos no comen amor"?

Yes, Gypsy you may be correct. What comes to me in that statement is that chicas can not afford to fall in love also.

Money can't buy you love and love can't buy you anything.What's a chica to do.(Everybody)Really what some of these chicas love is money.(some have told me that)
