What kind of good food is available from Hotel Del Ray's restaurant? I'm thinking about eating there (and try to meet chicks), but I don't know what is good? From what I read on here, they have a good steak?

The food at DR comes from across the street (Del Mar). They have an excellent ceviche. The sandwiches are pretty good too. Prices are a little high though for CR.

If you are staying at the hotel, keep in mind there is a hefty charge for room service. Chicas will often want to order food. They also want something expensive like shrimp cocktail. Better to eat downstairs or del mar / key largo. I learned this the hard way.

If I'm eating at HDR, then I'm eating at Del Mar? The prices are the same, except for ambience?

They bring the food over from the Del Mar into the HDR.

It is way overpriced for what you get.
You can get a cheaper breakfast buffet in any US city.

Try the ceviche because it's really good.

The ceviche is the best :D

The breakfast buffet is good.

Prices are hotel premium.

Service is either on or off with wait staff not really paying much attention.

The old house has historical ambiance having been the house of the President in the 30's.

Plus it is convenient and easy.

It was very enjoyable when it was in the DR proper.

There's no way I'm paying 10 bucks for breakfast.
