SDR you make some good points here.The only way to ever really understand a Latina is to cross the language barrier.When you finally are able to talk with these chicas you'll find that most of them are quite interesting gals.As far as Ticos go the girls have told me that there are good and bad ones.(they think the same of Americans)After getting past the language then the next step is really understanding the cultural differences.(which are many)

You guys are really on to something and perhaps this should be a new thread. But I have found that if you take the time to get to know them,a lot of them are really cool chicks. You also find out all the shit that they go through with some of the Jack Ass Gringos that they have to deal with as part of their job. The best sex that I have had down here has come from the ones that I have taken the time to get to know a little and to connect with on a personal level.

You still need to keep in mind that it is a business relationship. But that does not preclude it being a very "close" business relationship.

But I feel like I'm missing something when you see "we ruined our women"... weren't women in the US much LESS sexually open in generations past? If that's what you're talking about then I feel like we've advanced.

The stuff about telling women what to do though, beyond what they want to for their own reasons or out of just being nice to us, that's the part you lose me on.

You my friend have been trained to think a certain way in how you deal with women. I don't judge you for that. It is how American men are raised to think these days.

The bottom line is that down here, and in much of the rest of the world, women respond positively to strong, take charge men. That is just the way it is, that is the way it has been for 3000 years. If you want to be respected as a man, you need to be strong. That does not mean that you do not treat them with kindness and respect. All women deserve that. It just means that you need to take the posture that you are the one calling the shots.

Those values are no longer respected in the US and to a certain respect, I think it has had some unintended negative consquences. It certainly has consequences down here, because those DR women are looking for weak men that they can manipulate and take advantage of.

What I have learned, the hard way, is that women are cunning, almost all of them, and if you are weak and let them call the shots, they will take advantage of you in every way you can. You have obviously not gone through a divorce or you would know exactly what I am talking about. Divorce an American woman and come back to me and tell me what they are like.

You are obviously part of a new generation of American men that has been indoctrinated in a different way of thinking. I don't judge you for it, but I can tell you that it won't get you very far down here. These women in the gultch are finely tuned to take advantage of mamby pamby American men that are willing to put up with their BS. As soon as you let them know you are not on that program, that you are the one in charge, most of them fall right into line and they are much nicer to deal with all the way around.

I was referring to American women being spoiled rotten by us . I wasn't talking about them being sexually open. Actually, I really don't ever think about them and sex at the same time.

Anyone who is old enough to have lived through the social revolution from the 50's 60's 70's and on knows that the so called womens movement destroyed the relationship in America. Women wanted more power, got it & then wanted more & more. Now they complain about men not being strong or assertive. Be careful what you wish for.
As far as women being less sexually open, I for one was a Hippie.
In the 60's & early 70's American girls were as easy to get as the Ticas of today. And it cost no dinero.
I feel in the 50's women put out because they thought it was their duty.
In the 60's 70's they put out more & more because they found that they
liked it. Then in the 80's & 90's they slowed the puttin out down to gain their Femanist power, up to today where they use sex as a too of power & MANipulation.
I for one will not tolerate this sex bartering in a relationship. That is why I do not do relationships. I want sex & now again a little companionship.
