That is wild, I've had more than one request Guns & Roses, Metallica or Van Halen. Most liked Linkin Park too.

A good source for free legal latin music downloads is La Onda Topical. They post about 6 new songs per week.

NYG,
I don't know what to tell you other than what I stated.
Whenever I have played Jazz, they either show no interest i.e. by asking what type of music is that or who is that, or they want me to put on something else.

I have my doubts that chicas truly like jazz. Hell, the vast majority of American don’t truly love jazz. The current market share of Jazz in the US is mere 3% among. That statistic runs the gamut of all music sold. From established great musicians such as John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis all the way to the shittiest such as Kenny G, jazz does not sell and therefore one can surmise that very small percentage of the population actually like jazz. Many people may tolerate it and may actually sort of enjoy it as soft background music in a bar, the park or at a cocktail party. I believe that most (not all) people that claim to love jazz make the claim because they believe that will be perceived as hip or enlightened because they choose to listen to jazz.

You know you can doubt all you want but until you can tell us what is going on in a womans mind keep your opinions to yourself

Also of far of jazz goes there is a melting pot of people at any jazz concert I attend. People from all walks and different stages of life. Only Jazz can do that!!! Just at the great jazz fair this weekend in RDU and I can assure you what your just said would be considered BS to all that attended

I had a favorita one time who loved (or at least claimed she did) the Beatles. And, she was only 22 years old. One time I was staying at the Holiday Inn, and I pulled a 19 year old 'rookie' out of the DR. She never heard of Led Zeppelin. I played Stairway to Heaven for her. I don't think
she was impressed. Oh well.
I think most chicas prefer the Latin groups/singers, such as Shakira, Mana, Jaguares, Heroes del Silencio, La Ley, Ricky Martin, etc.
Lastly, how about the famed 'Magic CD'...most chicas loved that one!

Shawn, I have never met a chica who did not love Myriam Hernandez (the #1 latina singer of all time) All her songs are great (and very romantic) Also she was here just this week for a concert. Can you believe $60 a pop for tickets in Costa Rica? Second chose, based on experience, would be the now disbanded Mexican group LOS BUKIS. Their music is great and the chicas seem to really like this group. And romantic music, even when with a "puta" really adds to the mood!! Every time I have a chica in mi casa they want to watch my Myriam vidio and hear her music. Several have stayed for 1-2 hours pasted the agread time just to hear/see the music.

Heroes del Silencio is on of the best rock bands you'll ever hear, even if you're not into Latin Music. They broke up about 10 years ago, but their song "Entre dos Tierras" is regarded as an absolute classic. Los Prisioneros were another rock group from the 80's that were awesome. I'm not sure Jaguares are still together, but they are very good as well.

In modern day, Mana is as good of a rock band as there is out there, with one of the best drummers on earth. I've even heard them played on U.S. rock stations a few times.

Dr you are right I had my Ipod loaded. Doing more duedilligence on the subject this weekend revealed. Gaans And Roses a top voted item & again the number one choice Baab Marley.
I picked up a CD in the airport " A Todo Swing" sounds like all the tunes we danced to at the Key Largo over the weekend. Will test it out next trip.

As a newbie member since Feb, one if the many invaluable nuggets of information that I have learned while sifting through this forum is:

ALWAYS negoiate everything up front.

It seems apparent that the remedy for your musical concerns is to add an extra $5 for "pretending to really enjoy MY music"

58 more days until touchdown!!!

Your all wrong on the music thing guy.
these girls know the words to EVERY song that comes on the box. And have no problem telling you who they like even if you don't have it.
Also you put on a song they dig & it's immedieately, up un the bed for a sexy dance, clothed or not.
You will know this stuff after your initial "wet behind the ears period"......
in the mean time ENJOY your new wonderment. :o :D
