I had another name but it "got out" and it was too risky, so I changed to the current which will never be written or uttered near those where I would be at risk.

THere are a couple of points... but as most of you know, the word "Ron" is not only the short form of Ronald or Ronaldo, but it's also the word for "rum" en espanol.

Well, in Medellin, they don't drink Captain's Morgans rum or Bacardi. If you go to Mango's or Fase Dos and order a bottle of alcohol, they will bring you a bottle of the Medellin brand rum, or "Ron Medellin" (I pronounce my name Rone Meh-deh-jeen).

I promise you, if you take a trip to Medellin, you will be looking at my name on a bottle and thinking of my nonsense... it's unavoidable, and you will hate me for it.

Also, it sounds like Ron Mexico... that has to count for something...

All of the puns together form "Ron Medellin", it makes me laugh... obviously, I'm easily amused...

Was partaking in my favoriite beverage of choice, an ice cold budlight, while trying to conjure up a moniker befitting me, without much luck. I looked at my bottle of beer and said, "hum, ice cold one" . Hence my alias.

ICE

18 trips to CR ago, I was on my maiden voyage. My spanish consisted of si and gracias. My CR mentor took me to all of the spots, including the low end ones. In one particular dive, he went off to service a young lady and left me alone in the bar with her aunt. She asked me to buy her a drink and being too new to tell her to buzz off, I complied. She then pestered me to go upstairs to do the dirty deed. I learned a new spanish word......NO. Upon my mentors return, she asked me to buy her another drink. I used my new spanish word again.......NO. At that time she shouted for all to hear, "estas es Gringo Malo". I turned to my mentor and asked....what did she say? My mentor translated for me......" You are a bad American".

From the old TV show, Phil Silvers in 'You'll Never Get Rich' which became the 'Phil Silvers Show.' Sergant Ernest T. Bilko. I just liked his style. He'd be quite at home here in CR.

Easy to figure out probably. Death and rebirth. The end of the respectable/brady bunch/nuclear family lifestyle - and resurrection into nuestra cosa...

MUFFDIVER?.... Duh?

Let me see.... where should I begin.... Oh I know, First comes an "M", then comes and "u", then a coulple of...???? What? Circus was not asking to spell the handle? Oh sh*t. I'm sorry. I was confused.

But what is there to explain about the word "MUffdiver"?

I should think that the only subject area which may call for any type of clarification is.... "just how good are you at it"? Maybe wwe should have the chicas provide us with a concensus.... Damm!, that's an idea for a contest. Only thing would be, what's the prize?

I had a young gringa friend from Louisiana. She and her friends did not know how to pronounce "ciao," and they would spell it out. C-I-A-O. So every time I saw her I would say to her, C-I-A-O. She would respond the same. Thus, ciaociao was born. Later, when I was married and seeking anonymity while perusing this sort of board, I latched onto ciaociao. Unfortunately, when attempting to register a yahoo handle, there were already at least two ciaociaos in circulation. They recomended ciaociao3 and the date (2001) and a handle was born.

Now aren't you sorry that you asked?

ciaociao

writing this crap, a little buzzed, from the hotel amistad.

Well, now you can say that you know how to say duck, at least in three language because pato is duck in Spanish too.
You should be careful in Cuba with it, as that's slang for fag too!
