I met this chica last time I went to CR. You can read about her in my TR#2 in the VIP section. She is getting a divorce from a gringo who met her in the DR and they eventually married and have a N*na together. After some time, she moved to the US and lived with him. She told me that he was very loving when he came to CR but when she came to the US she took care of his house, the K*ds, etc. She really seemed like she tried hard to pamper him in the US but shortly after moving to the US he grew cold towards her so she moved back to CR. Of course I got one side of the story.

We had a few nights together. She spoke good English and I really enjoyed her company. She is the type of chica I would not mind taking to dinner, maybe slip her a few extra bucks to help out, and send her home so I can go back to the DR and pick up another chica to Phuck.

This chica called me one night in my room at the DR and said she didn’t have cab fare to get home to Desamperados – about a $20 fare. I didn’t help her and I have felt bad ever since. Maybe this was a typical RFM but in the back of my head I picture a sweet brown chica with no way to get home and I feel really sad for her. I would have been happy to help her if I felt she really needed it, but now, back home in the comfort of my home I sometimes feel sad, thinking that maybe she really did need the help.

Maybe I’m just a sucker – but I didn’t give in.

VB would let the answering machine get it. "Please leave your RFM after the beep."

It would be useful to have a thread, or maybe a sticky, or maybe a "GR" type map, on correct taxi fares. Especially to the burbs where the chicas say they live. We can all post fares we know for sure are correct. HDR being ground, zero of course. For example,

HDR - Juan Santamaria Aeropuerto 7000 - 7500 colones

HDR - Heredia Centro 6000 colones

Cygnus already hit the nail on the head when he told you that the taxi fare would be 1000-1500 colones so the $20 was bullshit.

There are two other responses that come immediately to mind

1. TAKE A BUS..... It's only 200 colones. Bigger shots than you use the bus.
2. I will borrow my friend's car and drive you home.I will be there (assuming you are in CR) within an hour.Wait for me. The fun in this response is listening to her stammer and studder while trying to get out of the first lie. She will probably tell you to forget the whole thing.

I love this. I'm not always good at saying "no" so this type of response fits my personality perfectly.

Next time....tell her to find VB and ride home with him (now that he has started doing sleepovers).
