We had 17 for this past Sunday

Darklighter took first
Brett took second
True Sportsmen took third

Casino management has requested that I increase the fee from $3 to $5 so that the house can take a cut in addition to the dealers. 10% is standard and not onerous and I am personally ok with it. I want to re-emphasize that I take no cut.

We also need to discuss possibly changing the time or day with Pro-Football coming up soon. I am looking for suggestions (our current time is right in the middle of the afternoon games and most of our regulars are football junkies and/or have work responsibilities during that time.

We will not have a game Labor Day due to the M tourney and the party on sunday at SL.

How about Saturday afternoons? I know people watch college football too, but they have a TV there to watch and college football isn't as big a deal to most I would think.

I received feedback from several guys. I am looking at Fridays at 3pm for the following reasons:

The local guys that deal with sports related business can play then

Guys coming in to town are generally here by then

3pm is before the traffic gets bad for guys driving in to play

The tourney will be done by 6 with most guys out by 4:30 so they can hit happy hour.

I need to talk with The Casino owner to see if this is OK. Any further input is appreciated.

I think Fridays at 3pm is perfect if the casino is available for the tourney.

This sunday we will have the tourney at 3pm as scheduled. We will not have a tourney the following week due to the Labor Day tournet and party.

We will resume the tourney's the following Friday at 3pm. We chose friday so as not to confilct with Football season.

I think Friday's are bad for those of us that have to work. All those retired folks (VB) and others who live off of poker/betting and such have no problem either. I would never be able to make the games.... :( :( :(

There is no perfect time, but I polled all of the regualr players and Friday's at 3 was our best bet.

I mentioned it ealrier in this thread and oersonally talked to a majority of the guys. Friday was the overwhelming choice.

Will be there on Friday the 28th and would like to play in my 3rd all time tourney. With the way the first 2 went I'm sure everyone else wants me to play too. Is there a sign up like there used to be at SL?

At the amon Plaza they have up to four tables so we do not need reservations.
