I still think GR is about to break. I saw the straw take down the camel with that girl who broke the pinky finger promise with him in the penthouse.

When someone becomes really pissed off with putas and their bullshit it is a sign that he is really looking for a wife. :P

OK…so here’s a thread where I agree with both “sides”

I read GR’s original post with a grain of salt…thinking he had probably had a few cocktails to make a post like that at 1am pst… just some simple venting that made sense…my thoughts this morning were that if you just inserted “next” into “phuck off” it was a pretty true assessment… But Tico Frankie has made a few good points, and is looking a little deeper into the mind and motives of our good friend GR.

P55, you did a great re-statement of GR’s original post…gotta agree. But Tico Frankie’s second assessment of the GR syndrome is very accurate…as much as it may hurt to read it. But I don’t feel that our boy GR is trying to rip on CR…he is just over due for a change.

I have posted it before… GR my friend (and I am proud to type “friend”) widen your whorizions!!!…next is Rio (after a couple more CR trips  …) and I don’t want to read 17 Rio trip reports from you   :P …China, Thailand, PI, Germany and on and on…DO NOT let life pass you by because you are comfortable in CR…you’re a great monger…keep looking for something different!

Nuff said  …

OK GR…so you in for China and SEA in Spring of ’08…you may have to give up Superbowl in CR  …

Mendo

Okay, for post #2000 on this board, I'm going to let everybody in on a little "quasi" secret...

The last day of my last trip back in May started out just like any other day for a CR mongerer. After breakfast at Sportsmen's, went over to New Fantasy and enjoyed a killer session with longtime favorita Johana. Then I went back over to Sportsmens, hung out at the bar a bit, and remembered I needed to go see about a late check-out. So I walked over to the front desk where my ex-novia was working that day. I had no intention other than to ask about the checkout, but when I walked up and saw her wearing the silver necklace I gave her for her college graduation last year, I just melted. All the pent-up anger and resentment I had been feeling all this time simply vanished.

We sat down and had a nice "clearing the air" talk over lunch. And within five minutes of being around her again, it hit me like a ton of bricks what it was like to be with a chica of her intelligence, class, and sense of personal responsibility - as opposed to all the putas I'd been associating with over the past year. And just for a few seconds I imagined what it might be like if things had turned out differently, remembering how - despite how challenging it sometimes was - I felt more happy and alive during the time I was in love with her than I've possibly ever felt before.

Not that anything will really come of this, mind you. There's still some capatibility issues - the not insignificant age difference probably being the primary one - and of course the geographical distance. And for all I know, she might even have another boyfriend already. But in any case, I won't be staying at Sportsmen's this time around, and I'll tell everyone this right now - you won't find me doing anything around there from this point on to disrespect her.

So maybe that's at the root on why I've been so hard on the whole mongering scene in CR over the past few months. I just can't look at it the same way now. It IS time to move on - whether to the greener pastures of Rio, Medellin, Lima, Pattaya - wherever - OR - perhaps to find someone that special again to share something real with.

Time will tell...

We all know you bought your phony PhD from Del Rey University redeeming 947 emoticons and a few crappy posts about your adventures in Parque Morazon with Paco and Latino. With that in mind... take yourself out to dinner and then GO PHUCK YOURSELF!   :P :P

GR- we all need to do some self analysis time and again. It sounds like you have the whole thing in perspective. Perhaps getting this off your chest is just what you needed to let the good times roll in CR again.

I do agree you should visit other places regardless, but view this upcoming trip positively. The slate is clean amigo
