Okay learned brethren. Need a little help here. After a fantastic first trip, am heading back to CR for the month of November. I am taking an advanced Spanish class for two of those weeks. The school is a few blocks from the Del Rey. Would like to find a weekly apartment within a few blocks of that area. Would like to be able to walk to school each day. It would help if it was guest friendly. But not necessary as my favorita/novia will probably be playing house with me for most of the month, so she will be on the registry. Any suggestions? Ideally would prefer to pay no more than $450 for the month. Thanks.

I stayed in Scotland Apartments for my two-month school adventure. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the DR. They have no problems with 'guests'. Fairly clean, roomy, cable TV, high-speed internet but prices are $550 a month for the cheap side and $650 a month for the expensive. Not sure what two weeks would run but for sure under your $450 budget. Do a search here (or on google) for more info.

How would you rank that place compared to Sudamir? Did they provide anything such as pots, pans, linens, or?

Don't know the apartments you referenced. However, Scotland comes with everything you need. Pots, pans, dishes, towels, bed linen. Not to mention the really cute cleaning lady (not for 'hire'). Do charge extra to clean the apartment and with that fee, you get new towels, bed linen etc.
You can also pay for new towels, bed linens and do the cleaning yourself for a small fee ($4 I think...).
