I will be traveling from Cali to Medellin in Oct. and need some information on airlines and ticket purchase.

I will be arriving in Cali on Saturday night and departing on Tuesday. I can purchase ticket online with Avianca for a cost of 206,000 COP.
I thought I had read somewhere that it may be cheaper to buy the ticket when I am in Country. If I wait till then, what are the chances the flights will be full?

Any inf is appreciated.

Thanks

Check out this thread I recently posted. T-man provided a number of good links to Latin American airlines:

I bought BOG-MDE-BOG on 1 days notice from Avianca and paid $150 RT so your rate looks good. If you know basic spanish you can navigate around Aviancas site and maybe find better rates. I did purchase direct thru Avianca on the Spanish side but again very short notice so paid more.

Thanks for the info guys.
I booked online thru Avianca.
Unfortunately they hit my credit care twice.
Still need to call them to work it out, doubt it will be a problem.
