I am staying at the Hotel Presidente Aug 28-29 and The Del Ray Aug 30 to Sep 3. I have had a $200 to $300 deposit hold on my credit card at the Del Ray. This Is my first time at the Presidente. Can anyone tell me what they get for a deposit and how long do the hold it on your card.

I must say the two hotels I have NEVER had a problem with is The Sportsman's Lodge and the Copa In Joco. I will be staying at all 4 hotels on this trip. It was hard to find 2 rooms for 11 nights at one hotel the weekend of the party.

I never recalled any outstanding holds on my card at the Presidente. If so, they should take it off the moment you check out.

I know that the Presidente will run your credit card 3 days before you are supposed to be there to verify that your card is still good. Once they run it, charges will appear on your CC for a few hours. The total should be the amount of your room for a day or so. I am not sure about the DR.

I reserved 2 rooms through e-mail for the DR this Saturday and don't have any holds on my CC. I hope I still have the reservations. I will print the whole e-mail conversation for proof.

I think there was another thread talking about the DR where a member had holds that were still there long after his stay.

Superman, did you fax back a copy of your reservation with a signature on it? What days will you be at the DR? Im there 8-31 to 9-3.
