"Word on the street" ( there it is again) has it that the hotel and casino are being sold very soon. They are supposedly in final negotiations with a group from Reno. Hopefully the new owners will see the benefit of continuing the relationship with CRT.

It has been on the market for quite a while with an unreasonable owner. Be interesting to see if it goes through this time. I think it is a hidden gem with the right team running it.

“A group from Reno…”

Hmmm… only two groups that I know that would have the cash flow and experience.
1) Carrano Family, owners of the El Dorado and a few other good money properties
2) The group that owns the Peppermill…

Outside shot is the group that owns the Clarion in Reno… probably has an inside track with Clarion… but the Reno property is hurting and I wonder if there is cash flow..

Both groups are well respected and run quality operations. Reno is in the tank now due to Indian gaming in California… Interesting to see who is bailing out or diversifying. My bet is that any group out of Reno will be willing to work with CRT to sell beds and put $$$ into the Casino. This could be very good for us.
