I noticed a little Colombian soda a few tiimes walking to the MP's a such. Decided to grab a bite of breakfast there before my early morning session at New Fantasy and trip home yesterday. It was a nice tiddy little local soda, nicely decorated with Colombian stuff and prices were very reasonable. Looked like a decent menu and several choices of Casados for 1500 col. I expect it is a place worth checking out. Will try lunch there next trip. Location in on North side of Ave 7 ,100 m north and 50 m west of Holiday Inn. Breakfast was good and only 1100 col. rbc100

I had lunch there last January. The price was right, the food was good and the service was friendly. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the place...do you recall it, RBC?

The Rincon? It's right around the corner from Soda Peru on Ave 7. However, there are actually two Colombian restaurants there now. One is one the left side of Bar Poas and a guy that used to work at the Rincon opened up one on the right side. I have eaten at both and would try the new one again but I found the food had little flavor. Worse, the menu was in complete Spanish which made it difficult to order. The Rincon is actually one of my favorite restaurants in SJO. The girl that owns it is a very nice Colombiana. The menu is easier to read and has pictures of the food plates. My advice is to try the one on the left side of Bar Poas first and made sure you get some of the chilis in the wooden bowl to sprinkle on your food- deeelishus!

They serve it fast too. Only problem is eating there wrong time of day like when the traffic's thick and the bus pulls up and you get a face full of diesel exhaust.

El Rincon is a good place. One day I was heading to one of my favorite MP's and saw Tica Fan enjoying lunch there. After my session I returned to the place for a tasty and inexpensive lunch. The food is homemade Columbian, mmmmm good :)

Costa Rica, the land of good food and delicious women :)
