Tough situation. I, for one, do not want to see this as a commercial site for Indy's. Obviously, some local businesses get some play here on CRT. But, if every "Angela" wants to post, that could get to be another CL. Cluttered with more BS than legitimacy. And to administer all that...nah. In fact, ph*ck NO!

I suppose financially, it could be a boom for admin to have paid advertisers. (I mean, what sells better than sex?) But is that what anyone, including admin wants? I am not sure I would want to take money to allow an indy to advertise sexual services on my site. Yes, prostitution is legal in CR, but "brokering" it is not. I have some experience with legal issues on the internet as El Silencioso and CMAC can attest. Some radical right wing attorney could make a case that the site "brokers" deals with indy girls who explicitly advertise services. Would they have any success? I doubt it because I know where this site is hosted. But, I just wouldn't want the appearance of wrong doing. Personal opinion, I would stay away from it. Besides that CRT is a GENTLEMENS GUIDE to Costa Rica. If we don't have enough choices in CR already then we are a sad bunch of hobbyists!!

Just MHO, I wouldn't even consider charging. IF it were to happen at all, I would designate a seperate section of the site and make it free. Or a redirect to another site set up just for that type of advertising. Sorry Angela, I'm sure you are awesome. Just my opinion.

I believe that if commercial posters are admitted and permitted to post, that it will only be a matter of time before we start getting posts from the trannies, scam artists, thieves and so on.

OTOH, keeping this a fraternity is impossible. I know of at least two female members, one of whom is a gringa. I'm certain that there are others. Hey, the Internet is public space, and the last time I checked, Admin 1 wasn't doing pecker checks for each new member. Good thing, too. I for one wouldn't want Admin checking MY pecker...

Seriously, we're more open than one might think here. Guess the number of female members...then triple it.

Good or bad? I think it's okay. OTOH, I don't want a bunch of non-female advertisers, scammers and the like. Angla/Nuri is legit, okay. Glad to hear it. However, I would let this one slide but quash any further commercial advertising. As an earlier poster said, if she wants promotion via CRT, then the best she can do is give great service and reasonable prices, and word of mouth will get her more business than she can handle.
