I believe the airport has an unsecured wireless network.

Consulate is in Pavas. About 15 - 20 minute taxi ride from the SL.

Yes, the airport (Juan SantaMaria) has unsecured wireless internet. Works fine, and the signal is adequate. The signal is also fine in the smoking lounge downstairs.

Downstairs (stairs by the TACA courtesy counter). There's an escalator... It's a very nice lounge.

Used to be the only place with wireless... My how things have changed.

I used it on my last trip to SJO, signal was fine, no problems to report. I used it on all ends of the airport to change some flights, no security problems although Id be a bit more cautious as mentioned its unsecured

Now that smacks of Amsterdam... Brothel in the airport... it's a GREAT idea. Only problem is that I don't think all those Eco freaks would appreciate it.

I think most of them don't know what goes on in CR. They have a vague idea that it's legal, but that it...

If you put it right out in front of them, things may not work out so well for us...

Although I would love the concept, I would be afraid of the repercussions...
