I will be visiting CR for the first time from July 10th through the 23rd, with the first and last part of my trip in SJ. I'm 23, I do speak spanish, but I've never done anything like this so I am looking for a wingman. Someone to hang out, have a good time, and maybe give me some helpful advice. I've been reading the forums for a couple weeks now and have learned a lot already but I'm sure it's different once you are there. In any case I am looking to have a great time and live it up, see the sights, the ticas, and all CR has to offer. I am open to suggestions and anyone who is willing to help me out and have fun at the same time. Who knows, maybe after a day or two I'll be helping you bring home the chicas. 8) Muchas gracias!

Update! I'm still finalizing my plans but it looks like I'll be on the Pacific coast, in or near Tamarindo from the 10th through the 13th, then in SJO for a few nights, then heading out to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca for a few nights (16th to 19th-ish) then finishing in SJO from 20th through 23rd. I will post more as I make it more concrete but this is my plan so far. Going to be hanging out with Blazenup from about the 14th through 19th, but anyone else who wants to be/needs a wingman feel free to get back to me. I'm sure I'll run into some of you down there regardless. I'm definitely looking forward to this trip! :D

Ok new update, plans have changed a bit but I think this is final. Then again I am a student traveling solo with a backpack so really anything is possible. :P

July 10th - 13th = spending time in and around SJO
14th - 16th = SJO to Playa Tamarindo
17th = back to SJO for one night
18th - 21st = SJO to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
22nd = back to SJO for the night
23rd = bye bye CR, back to US

Activities I'm looking to do during my trip:

- visit HDR, ZB, SL, maybe Pantera Rosa and a couple other strip clubs
- hike a volcano
- canopy tour
- El Pueblo to go dancing at discotecas (probably on the 13th)
- surfing, snorkeling, biking on the coasts
- tour a coffee plantation?
- rafting?
- whatever else sounds cool and is not ridiculously expensive (for a student budget)

Ok that's it for now, I'll post again soon with an update, or at least once I am in town. Oh yeah that reminds me I am staying at the Pension de la Cuesta B&B while in SJO (right near HDR on Av. 1 and between Ca. 11 & 15). Hit me up if you want to hang, I am in need of some amigos as I am going it alone. I'll probably heading to SL the first night, that sounds like a good place to meet up with like-minded people. Until then, buena suerte y pura vida!

It's hard for me to believe that I'll actually be in SJ tonight but it's so true. Que bueno! I look forward to meeting you all and having a great time soaking up the sun and the chicas. I will post a report as soon as I have something to report about. Until then, pura vida amigos! 8)

So I am back in the states but I am very busy at the moment. Look for a trip report and photos soon. Briefly though I would like to say thanks to everyone who I met and who I hung out with, especially Prostoner and Ticafan, it was a lot of fun. Ok I'll post again soon.
