It is official, the buffet at Key Largo has gone up permanantly to 2,500. Was 1,700 last week so a pretty steep 800 colone increase....45% or so :?

That's the last time I'll eat there and I do every trip. It's not worth 5 bucks... more like 3 max.:x

If, as was posted here, Hartley has taken over the management of the Del Mar than that sounds accurate. Hartley always charged top dollar at the News cafe. The upside is that if he follows form the food will improve. Guess we have to wait and see.

Wow a $1.53 increase. I’ll have to cancel my reservations

Before I ate there because it was cheap and not because of the taste, 2500 is too much! :?

Since we're on the subject, $5 is a little too much as it was. If it improves, great. $3 was a fair price, even a good price.

If Hartley has taken over the management of th restaurant, we have nothing but good things to look forward to. He turned the Presidente into a good restaurant and he will probably do the same thing again.

YO DG:

I agree. Aside from his faults he does know how to organize and run a restaurant. He put the Presidente eatery on the map. On the flip side, the restaurant at the Pres has gotten worse since his departure.

As for the KL $5. I don't think so. It's salvation was getting a bite to eat late when other places had closed. It was hit and miss....mostly missing.

Most of the time old Circus never paid for the meal there anyway. I would just go over to a table where a chica or two were eating. Pull up a seat and let saliva pour out of my mouth, roll down my chin and splatter on the table while watching them. They would get grossed out and leave. Walla, I'd move in and finish up the dish. Shit, works for me.

Is it any wonder that my per deim expenses are low. Yea I know......pitiful.

Never had the buffet, try to avoid buffets as a rule.
Circus always knows the score.

Too bad. :( I ate there for the first time over Memorial Day with Peter (myusician from the SL), Brainiac, Roman... and I thought it was pretty good for the price. No way it's worth five bucks though.

Well, eating there does have a side benefit or two. For one thing, hookers eat there. Fun to people watch/eavesdrop. Another benefit is the delightful smell of propane that seems to permeate every corner of the joint.
